Sometimes I find it hard to empathize with extremist left or right people, but after reading that article it gives me some good ground to think about where they are coming from. For example left are hyper individualistic and right are hyper communal. The idea of catering to moral systems first and foremost is also helpful. I mostly just found the stats in the last article helpful. The disparity between what actual scientists believe and what the public believes is not in alignment.
