Not sure how I've survived to 29. Queer. Transgender. Unfocused. Avoidant. Overaged undergrad. Skeptic. Frequently inarticulate [aspiring] writer. Shy but generally friendly; I love helping other people, and am told I'm perceptive and easy to get along with. Would really like to make some friends here. Have an annoying tendency to come across as pretentious [and/or unable to write complete sentences] in these things.

Main fields of study are psychology [particularly cognitive perspective], Russian, and linguistics.

Hobbies and other "likes" include animals, attempting to write stories, playing guitar, post-punk, b-movies, dystopias, compassion, British humour, board games, computer games, hiking, medical history and epidemiology, philosophy, comfortable silence, chocolate-covered espresso beans, scientists of the mad or sane variety, and Wikipedia.

And Tumblr, which seems to eclipse like 90% of the above lately.

Biography
I was born.

At some point after that I developed a distaste for open-ended personal questions.
In descending order, which 6 things could you never do without?
Um. Skipping the obvious/obnoxious answers:

1. Reading material.
2. A fuzzy sidekick, or more accurately a fuzzy creature to be sidekick to. Scruffy/unkempt people count.
3. Personal space. Doesn't have to be physical, necessarily -- just some capacity to retreat into my mind periodically. Type 5 sp ftw.
4. Battlestar Galactica [re-imagined] DVD set. You think I'm kidding.
5. Antidepressants.
6. Some means of making music, even if it's just random things on which to drum.
What would be your epitaph?
Honestly, I'd prefer an unmarked grave.
