I'm an INFJ, through and through. Still waters run deep... I'm a 6'1" romantic, INFJ, Catholic lady, almost through remaking herself a third time... Focused, self-directed, full of optimism, love and wonder, I've downsized and moved to Maine for a simpler new life. Highly expressive, artistic and creative, I'm a sweet and sensitive, curious and analytical intuitive-introvert -- a meaning-seeking learner with an engineer's mind, who's a bit of a homebody... (authentic, and not at all shy). I seek knowledge, truth and love: beauty in people, relationships and life. Balancing out a partly-deep and serious side, you may find me, like a daisy: casual, unpretentious, genuine, youthful and playful (and very hard to surprise)... I'm a wholesome mix of parent (to myself), adult and child, fully human and fully alive. Integrity and faith are my compass. My interests are interpersonal communication and design.

for fun:

Love beautiful environments/greenscapes: a walk in the woods, an intimate paddle, my home; jaunts to fairs, festivals, dog shows & seminars, arborteums/nurseries; reading/learning; writing/sharing; dreaming; most of all sharing life with my other.

my job:

A mid-life divorce revealed business was wrong for this beauty-, values-, people-oriented unique creature. A forever learner, believing in needed time for shared dreams & life with my special other, if I remain single I'll probably take classes..

my ethnicity:

I'm half German & it probably shows in how I like things orderly - "... everything in its place" (although I can be messy!) - & well made (I enjoy quality). I can be detail-oriented, but really hate details! They overwhelm, stress & burden me...

my religion:

Friends tell me I'm very Catholic... I'd hope my other to be graced with a similar gift of Catholic faith. Sharing this integral dimension of my life is very important to me.

my education:

Mid-life career testing revealed talents for psychology & landscape design. Divorcing, the latter didn't seem to hold enough purpose for my life; classes led to interpersonal communication/conflict management -- healthy relationships -- a passion.

favorite hot spots:

My new digs! There're so many quaint towns, back roads, paths, lakes, parks, eateries & festivals to explore -- a lifetime of things to see & do - & the Maine Coast! Love that a lot of that is just minutes away & that the college is in town...

favorite things:

My home/space; serenity; SW exposure; trees; a cottage on a lake; keeping fit; ideas & words; reading, learning, writing, designing; puzzles & games; going barefoot, flannel; whimsy; the color yellow; my mac & collie; Dr. Phil & Fr. Corapi...

last read:

Books on "type" (Myers-Briggs) and church publications, both having to do with teaching us to love one another better.... Newsweek and a daily to keep up with things... Downeast, and Bangor Metro magazines on Maine. Cottage Living... MacHome...
Biography
I seek my soulmate -- a new best friend: a good man, a one-woman man, a believer: someone with whom to share faith, hopes, dreams -- a new life. I seek a man of quality, character, integrity and substance, hopefully one with a strong Catholic faith, who believes God and family is everything... and that marriage is forever. I seek someone valuing and desiring the very special intimacy that comes through the ability to know oneself well, as well as the ability and willingness to be able to communicate and share that, verbally, on a very deep level. My soulmate is very spiritual, and knows himself well, too.... He's tall, kind, caring, generous and considerate. He loves people. He's positive. He sees goodness... He's an excellent listener, and works at it, understanding that honest, effective and forthright communication is vital for any healthy relationship. He seeks an equal -- someone interdependent -- knowing relationships take commitment, work and sometimes sacrifice. He believes in lifelong growth and learning, as well as mutual support and forgiveness. He's seeking a potential wife for this last, final and best chapter.... He'd very much enjoy sharing time together, intimate conversations, walking hand-in-hand and some mutual interests -- a simple life. He knows that love (for all) is what is most important.....
In descending order, which 6 things could you never do without?
1. Harmony. It's important to be able to resolve conflicts or not be surrounded by them.
2. My home space: preferably a comfortable (and pretty!) cottage with lots of sunlight and windows.
3. My surroundings: beautiful greenscapes; places that nurture my very soul (with curves and hills and trees and rocks and paths for natural physical health and enjoyment).
4. Water; preferably flatwater for paddling or to sit serenly by the shore.
5. Things Catholic: hospital, church, friends...
6. Higher education: a university and books...
What would be your epitaph?
1 Corinthians 13:4:

Love
is patient, love is kind
It does not envy,
it does not boast,
it is not proud.
Love is not rude,
it is not self-seeking,
it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil,
but rejoices with the truth,
It always trusts, always hopes,
always perseveres...
Love Never Ends

and Galatians 5:22-23:

The Fruit of the Spirit is:
Love
Joy
Peace
Patience
Kindness
Goodness
Faithfulness
Gentleness
Self-Control
