I always get stumped by this question, after flip-flopping between testing as an INFJ and INFP I realized that I was sabotaging my own scores by basing them on how I wanted to act ideally. I came to this conclusion when I noticed that I only exhibit INFJ INFP qualities when I continually try too; unconsciously I am very INTJ which is the temperament I scored the first time I took the MBTI. It wasn't until after I had read through portraits of the ther types did I start to test as an INFJ/P. After doing research into the theory behind MBTI as well as that of Plato I concluded that I was at least an NT or as Plato would say a Rational.
All that said I'm still don't feel 100% sure of my type not that it matters very much since MBTI is best used to try to predict and understand a person
