  • Ninjitsu is awesome!

Although, I suggest keeping your eyes open, there are allot of 'Mcdojos' out there that claim to be the authentic thing. I suggest looking into Bujinkan, its the closest thing to the original Ninjitsu art forms. Save yourself the grief and do some intensive home work before walking into a martial arts club. Don't be pushed into doing anything that you don't want to, such as signing up on the first night of training. Good clubs will allow you to sit and watch the training, and give you some trial sessions, such as the first two weeks of training being free of charge. You should also feel comfortable enough to ask the head trainer any questions. If he or she is reluctant or aggressive in nature, then be on your guard.

    Good luck! :m105:
    Yes, the sooner the better!

Sparring is good, but its tough especially when are fighting an opponent that has the upper hand. There's hundreds of martial arts there to choose from, there's practically a martial art for everyone.
It depends on what you want to do though, whether it be sparring, doing flying kicks or board breaking etc.
Great! Tell me how it works out ok?

How Am I? A bit knackered. Its the week-end and I'm stuffed from training. :mpff:
Its pretty full on at the moment.
Well, as you said, shes an INFJ. Its not like you have a ESTJ for a mother (god have mercy on anyone who does). :m077:
If your mother doesn't know or understand the extent of the problem, then chances are she will side with your father. Don't be shy to tell her (unless she happens to be extremely scary and difficult to work with.)
I know it costs me $30 bucks to see my GP, you've mentioned health insurance, do you live in the states?
Anyway to convince your mother to pay for it?
Does your mother know about your abnormal sleeping patterns?
I know this might sound stupid, but you say you exercise allot. Is there anything stopping you from running or biking down to the local medical center?
You need to see a doctor because sooner or later those missed hours of sleep are going to come back with a vengeance.

Your dad thinks the same as my mother (EXFJ) does, she just thinks I'm being lazy when I devote much of my time training as an amateur fighter, musician and artist.
She just doesn't see it. I don't worry about people like her, her ideals are hers, not mine. Same goes for your father.
I take medication to help me sleep these days, however the effect has seemed to of worn out. So I'm getting new medication to replace the existing ones.
Late nights can be pretty rough for me too. Have you considered seeing your GP about your sleeping problems?
2 - 4 hours isn't going to help with your depression, you need sleep to function properly. Exercise is good too.

Are you an early riser? I find myself getting up even with the lack of sleep at the crack of dawn.
Its like my body has its own alarm clock.
A combination of flash backs, introspecting and projects that I am currently working on.
I can stay up for days a time. :m038:
Same, a few hours ago I managed to get some sleep, but I was up for about almost 24 hours.
    What kept/keeping you up?
    -Concert Choir
    -Honours European History
    -Organic Chemistry 1
    -Cell Biology

    Are you in college?
the thing about college is, hw will depend on your class. It could be a rough draft, essay, reading assignment, online, you name it, but it's mostly studying your arse off for that class.

In my case, this weekend's hw is an online O chem assignement, a lab report, pre lab assignment, and a presentation for choir.

It's all about the time management :)
Well, I was going to sit in the woods
but my dad wants me to spend it with him.
I didn't really have friends so I was always by myself.
    That's why I stopped going.
