i grew up in the 90s. one of the younger guys at work was saying that he loves 90s music and he was wishing he was a teenager during that time and it got me all nostalgic about the popular albums that really symbolise that time for me.

alanis morissette - jagged little pill
garbage - eponymous
pearl jam - ten
nirvana - nevermind
radiohead - ok computer
NIN - pretty hate machine
liz phair - exile in guyville
tori amos - little earthquakes
bjork - debut
jeff buckley - grace
weezer - pinkerton

i wondered if anyone could think of others that they listened to during this time also.

Tool = my favorite band of all time, I don't know why I didn't think of them. Bad me. Bad! But Lateralus is my favorite album, which was released in 01.

Ani Difranco, she put out eleven albums in the 90s, I think I owned and loved them all so its hard to choose.

Not gonna lie...I owned 2 of those. :m069:

How about Ace of Base - The Sign? You know you love ittt.
Lol I own all three of them, and I have that one as well.

And Hanson?

And Hanson?
LOL So odd you mentioned Hanson, because I actually had that in my original reply, and then edited it out to put Ace of Base instead.

Total guilty pleasure album. >_> But yeah, I owned that too.

I first heard my great musical loves in the 90's: Tori Amos, Bjork, and Radiohead.

I find some of these irritating now, but still nostalgic and I don't think were mentioned yet:

DMB - Under the Table and Dreaming, Crash, and Before These Crowded Streets. (For some reason I can't stand this band now)
Counting Crows - August and Everything After, Recovering the Satellites. (I still love them, imo an underrated band)
Blink 182 - Enema of the State
Portishead - Portishead
Gin Blossoms - New Miserable Experience
Guster - Lost & Gone Forever

Portishead - Portishead

You beat me to it, this is what I was going to post! Portishead's self titled is a complete masterpiece, hands down:

Another triumph of the 90's in my opinion is Hooverphonic's Blue Wonder Power Milk:
