that one in La Traviata where Violetta sings "amami Alfredo". or what about Celine Dion where she sings "i finished crying in the instant that you left", i love that one.
Celine Dion is good, and she's sung some amazing love songs such as Power of Love. However, I'm still partial to Etta James "At Last". But I'm sure another outstanding song will come to mind later to make me question this choice.
invisible - such good ones. I especially love Whitney's "I will always love you" which is definitely epic, and "Unchained Melody" hits it right out of the park. So, yep. So many to choose from.

Gist i think Unchained Melody is my favourite ever. i like the sense of longing and devotion. apparently it was originally written about imprisonment (i always mistakenly assumed it was postwar). i read that there have been hundreds of recordings of it. i dont think ive heard that many of them but the recording by Heart is pretty cool. but i think it would be impossible to beat Bobby Hatfield's performance. the tone of his voice is so pure and his vocal range is so natural.
I grew up listening to Herb Alpert music being played all over our house. Dad put speakers up in all the rooms and outside the garage so we could hear what Mom wanted to play. Thankfully she had great taste.
