Recently, in his endorsement speech of Rick Perry, Pastor Jeffress asked, "Do we want a candidate who is a good, moral person, or one who is a born again follower of Jesus Christ?" I don't know about you, but I prefer the good moral person anyday. I imagine that Rick Perry is losing sleep over this embarassment.

You know, it's kind of obvious that politicians sort of taylor their speeches and personas to whatever group they are courting for votes. But there is just a limit who you want to get in bed with. For example, I'm sure Rick Perry would NOT have wanted to be introduced by "We like him cuz he's white." Some groups are just to moronic and fringe to court. In the end, it only hurts the campaign.

So, has he fired his campaign manager yet?

These so-called religious, holier-than-thou politicians, who want to tell us all what we should believe are nothing but charlatans and frauds who remind me of Elmer Gantry by Sinclair Lewis. They claim to be patriots but they act in direct opposition to the very ideals upon which the US was founded.

Gracie, you must be smokin the crack. He is delighted and I am sure he only wishes he could shout from every stage he is on that born agains do not consider Mormons Christians.

PS this is by no means an endorsement of Born Agains, Mormons, Christians, or crack smoking

Well a week has gone by now, and Perry has said nothing to distance himself from Jeffress, even though this association is as embarassing as Obama's Reverand Wright moment. My guess is that Republicans simply aren't going to tolerate this -- he has just lost any possibility of the nomination.
