Caprica: BSG Spin-off

I have only recently seen the Pilot. The show is kind of different from BSG, and it feels more like a soap opera than a sci-fi. I haven't seen the rest of it yet, but I wanted to get your opinions and discuss some TV stuff.

Anyone here seen the show? What are your impressions of it? Any favorite characters so far?

I've seen the first 4-5 episodes or so. I enjoyed it quite a bit, but it's definitely drama over action. It focuses a whole lot on the inner troubles the main characters have, though the plot from what I saw so far was very engaging.

Favorite character would have to be Sam Adamas. He's central enough that you can really get into his perspective on... well, life I guess.

I watched all the episodes online this summer, before watching Battlestar Galactica. Ok, I'd seen most of 2 episodes of BSG before that, but did not get enough into it to start at the begining and keep up with the plot until after seeing Caprica.

I watched some of it and wasn't interested. Too much angst and people screaming at each other in hysterics. (The mother blames her own daughter for how she was raised, huh?)
