Why is it, that all I see in the news every single day, is a celebrity gone wild?

For instance, today I am absolutely sure that Mel Gibson is glad Charlie Sheen was born.

I want to start a TV/Cable news channel called
 
I saw that Charlie Sheen interview today, while waiting in a lobby for an appointment.

CNN = Celebrity News Network
 
Next stop on the Charlie Sheen crazy train: Commentary on "World's Dumbest" with the likes of Todd Bridges and Tonya Harding. Dream big, Charlie! Dream big.

Aside from attending a few Stargate conventions in my lifetime and watching them on tv/dvd I don't really give a damn what they do....

Because celebrities are the most visible 'upper level' people out there? (Why upper class? Let's be honest, how many people want to see the ugliness of the world beneath them?*)

And no publicity is a bad publicity, they said.

Besides, it's a specific percentage of celebrities that reached the level of fuckedupness several Hollywood celebrities can achieve. They are just the most visible. I would say everyone has something bad that if exploited well every now and then, will result in the same exposure as Hollywood celebrities and socialites have now.

*On the other hand, it does make for a different kind of exploitation, doesn't it? See Starving Childrens of Africa, every Friday on Fox, afterwards see Women in Shackles : The Reality of The Oppressed Minority on CBS.

As long as people are taught to see and not feel, it won't stop.
 
Its always been this way, before it was movie stars people talked about the Rockafellers,and Carnegies, before them they talked about King George.

People are stupid.

I watched an interview with Bella Lugosi towards the end of his life, it was the same shit, he had just come out of rehab for a drug addiction.
