I just received this Crime report by email from my university

OFF CAMPUS THEFT
DATE & TIME OF OCCURRENCE: December 10, 2010, at approximately 5:41 a.m.
LOCATION: 7400 Block of Hampson, near Cherokee.
REPORTED OFFENSE: The student was approached at the intersection by a subject on foot with his hands in his pockets. The subject said,
