Dominique Strauss-Kahn

This case is interesting to me because my aunt knew her by way of her husband (my uncle). Supposedly my uncle worked with her way back when, in a hotel - and she's got a very good reputation for being honest and hard working. She wasn't just a maid, btw; she was a supervisor who checked the rooms after people left. The low-down (as my aunt tells it) is that the woman was headed to check the room (because she thought he had checked out/was empty), and Strauss-Kahn pounced on her.

So...I would say from what I was told that there's a possible conspiracy against her.

What do you think of the "phone call the maid allegedly made to a man in an Arizona jail just a day after the alleged sexual assault in which ... she said: 'Don't worry, this guy has a lot of money. I know what I'm doing'."?

I don't know - I can only repeat back what my aunt said. Again, it's alleged...if it's true, then sure it looks bad. But do we know it's true? And considering the previous situations with him (and considering that the woman worked at the *Sofitel* [an exclusive hotel] where she could've done the same thing to any number of rich clients in the past) does it make sense that she would?
