The thing I'm seeing coming is the modern office switching from the standard sit in front of a PC model to standing in front of several of these monitors. Not only will it be more efficient to not have several applications covering one another on a standard monitor, or even landscape format (and thus out of sight out of mind), but there is the added health benefit of not sitting for long periods (which has been clinically proven to be as bad for you as smoking). Once this becomes a commonplace office feature, it won't take long for this to become a commonplace gaming feature (or vice versa). With the addition of the Kinect motion detection technology, we're about to see a huge shift in how we do User Interface in the next several years.
