Well yeah, if you get hit hard it is going to injure your brain even if your head wasn't hit and you have body armor on. Who doesn't know that? o.o

There's a thing called inertia. Your brain has it. It wants to stay put, so when your body is jolted hard enough your brain will actually slap into the inside of your skull even if you weren't hit in the head.

If you were a former footballer with brain damage in an executive position, you would probably try to hide it.

:p

I understand that players are upset but it does come with a big pay check. I played football most of my life but was never good enough to take it beyond high school. I have damage to my body but I am not going to blame my high school. I enjoyed playing and I love the sport despite the fact that I am going to a physical therapist once a week to repair the damage done to my neck.

I always thought of this as the extraverted achilles. You can't spend all that money if you are dead! You can't enjoy a good college education if you have been thunked on the head one too many times!

Anyone ever play football in the snow? Its so very dangerous if involving tackling. I like the added element of snow though. The environment with all these commercialized sports is too clean and pristine. Gaelic sports now that was some hardcore stuff on par with early Olympic games.

I would say rugby is definitely a better sport than american football. There were a nice few rugby video games released for the xbox. Its such a monopolized corporate perversion that the sport hasn't picked up.
