Hey everyone! I just finished uploading some recordings I have on my computer to my Purevolume account. I'd like to share them all with you here on the forums (feel free to download any and all of them, they're free after all!). I apologize that they are a little rough around the edges because they were all recorded in one take. I like to do them that way because I feel they convey the energy that goes into making music (or I'm just really lazy). Multi-track recording seems to lose the love in attempts at achieving perfection.
The first album is my cover album. The Best Songs I Never Wrote
http://www.purevolume.com/gallupa1/albums/The+Best+Songs+I+Never+Wrote
1. Free Falling, originally by Tom Petty and the Heart Breakers
2. Breakfast at Tiffany's, originally by Deep Blue Something
3. Tangled Up in Blue, originally by Bob Dylan
4. Wonderwall, originally by Oasis
5. The Times are Changing, originally by Bob Dylan
The second album is the second full-length that I've recorded and release. It's called Midnight Recordings
http://www.purevolume.com/gallupa1/albums/Midnight+Recordings
1. Lullaby, a finger picking song I wrote for kicks and giggles. Instrumental
2. Full of Shit, a song about the times when a former loves wants back in your life (sorry about the quality but I didn't want to polish it up because of the energy)
3. Songtitle Goes Here, a song about a suicidal girlfriend
4. Her, a glimpse of heartbreak and loss through the eyes of a 15 year old (I was 15 when I wrote it)
5. Spain, a little ditty incorporating some (read: very little) Flamenco stylings and Spanish influenced guitar. Instrumental
6. Thoughts Like These, a song about missing someone who's miles and miles away
7. Scared of Myself, name says it all. A song about those nights when you can't sleep and are confronted by all the things you don't really like about yourself
8. Did You Know?, the first song I wrote (age 14)
9. Blue, a song about trying to find your place in the world
***********
If you find anything you like or have any comments, I'd appreciate hearing them. If you think they're god-awful, hold nothing back.
Hope you enjoy them all in some way.
(edit: to anyone who's heard some of these before, there are a handful of new recordings mixed in)
