The real question is if someone is "considered" or seen as white or Caucasian with a traditional upper middle class or wealthy upbringing in a typically "white" family, when they have Hispanic roots in their ancestry, would it be considered racist for them not to acknowledge their heritage probably because they have no personal connection to it or maybe because they've been distanced or segregated from it or would it be a matter or pride or merely opportunistic for them to talk about it and capitalize on it for political benefit when speaking with the overly generalized and stereotyped Hispanic community? Either way, isn't someone going to find something to criticize?
