Part of my issue now I see is that I did think people were asking me to commune with the nether spirit worlds of yester-year. Now that I know I can stop this, I can move on.

Well...that was only concerning tax...which is really a feature of the mundane plane :)

I quite enjoyed stephens rant...i often fight the urge to have similar outbursts!

I'm trying to train myself at the moment to be a little more detached and to see reality from the observor point of view as some sort of bizarre cosmic circus put on for my entertainment....this might be my only hope to cling to some form of sanity in this otherwise completely insane world

I think its ridiculous to suppose that markets and society can suffice in the abscence of any and all tax funded services delivered by the state, they were insufficient to the task historically, they are insufficient to it now, they will be insufficient to the task in the future when future conservatives by hook or by crook get the chance to try and implement their visions.

Flat taxes are ridiculous and amount to tax breaks the uber wealthy, its not like there isnt evidence already that this does not result in any of the hypothetical outcomes which fiscal conservatives and capitalists have suggested.
