J.J. Abrams "Earthquake" remake...

So apparently, J.J. Abrams wants to remake the 1974 film Earthquake, according to this Hollywood Reporter article.

Does anyone think that it will have groundbreaking special effects?

But an "Earthquake" movie would probably be better off using old-fashioned techniques, such as miniatures.
