Hopefully Neil Gaiman can convince Guillermo del Toro to direct. Not a fan of 3D but the movie could be good quality anyway.

I've enjoyed the Monkey King stories I've seen in a couple of movies. I hope this gets produced!

I wonder....
a) Who's going to be cast as the heroes? I mean, 3d Beowulf or 3d Tangled? If 3d Beowulf...I hope it doesn't pull an Avatar.
b) ....Whoa, the film is made by Westerners?

....I'm personally fine with it, but I can see a lot of Chinese raising HELL, nationalism and all. :|
I myself can't wait tho <3.

If the Chinese want to raise hell about making a crappy Journey To The West film they would do better to protest The Forbidden Kingdom with Jackie Chan and Jet Li or any of the countless terrible versions they've made themselves.

This one might actually be good.
