Anyone feel like discussing a film you recently watched? Post the title of a movie and maybe we'll get to talking about it.

I recently watched a wonderful movie called "Return to Paradise"...which I hadn't even heard of prior to a couple months ago.

I just watched "The Tree of Life"....

Very interesting film. Can't say enough about it. Some parts I liked, and others not so much. I loved Jessica Chastain's performance. They ability to communicate emotion visually is striking. It was very much a pseudo-documentary style of filmmaking with fantasy or surrealism elements.

i watched The Door (DIE TUR) on netflix the other night.
i enjoy foreign films because the acting is different - or maybe i watch differently i dunno.
anyway this was a german movie about a guy whose daughter drowns in the pool while he's next door having a fling with the neighbor.
as a result, his life goes for a crap, he loses his wife etc. five years later he finds a gate that opens into a time tunnel and he's able to go back to the very day his daughter drowns. yeah he saves her but his life ends up getting super messed up because of it.
anyway i won't go into any more of the story line, but to say this type of story is right up my alley. i love anything to do with alternate dimensions or time travel.
to make a long story short (if it's not too late) the story got more and more implausible as it went on, i found a ton of holes in the plot and characters and i was disappointed in the end.
so uh, don't watch this one!

I haven't seen any of those.

I must not see a lot of films.

I do very much enjoy them, I'm just rather picky.
