Some famous people whom I type as INFJ. The ones who look warmer and more open are Fe-INFJs, the ones looking more closed off are Ni-INFJs.

How did you decide that these people were/are INFJs?

How did you decide that these people were/are INFJs?
Reading their works and noticing some common themes, such as contemplation on the human condition and meaning of being, claims to unity behind all things, seeing into the timelessness of existence, calls for introspection and looking for answers within oneself, indeterminism, calls to freedom and superceeding of one's condition, notes of excessive emotionalism, bemoaning, and criticism, subjective rationalism (Ti), past-emphatic attention giving them certain heaviness and seriousness in their self-expression (Ni).

Found a couple more INFJs:

Sri Aurobindo

"Man is a transitional being. He is not final. The step from man to superman is the next approaching achievement in the earth evolution. It is inevitable because it is at once the intention of the inner spirit and the logic of nature's process."

Hah, William James is there :D

You sure Fiona Apple's an INFJ? I was thinking INFP for her

anyways..maybe someone on here can help me type that person ..it's Jason Orange i am curious about..if you are in the US, it won't tell you anything tho' ... and 1 or 2 interviews... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FxzPJpX-jHM and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ww07bCNc580
I don't know much about this person. My impression is either ISTJ or ISTP. He's got that Clint Eastwood expression. Doubt he is INFJ.

yes William James is one of the quintessential INFJs in my opinion: "The great use of life is to spend it for something that will outlast it." That is something that I often consider myself, whether my actions or something I'm investing into are going to have a long lasting effect.

I think Fiona is INFJ. This song by her is like a visual representation of what being Ni dominant is like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZ5WPXxNzPU just passively observing all these things happening around you. She also had two ISTP boyfriends so I think INFJ is very likely typing for her.

She is probably the intuitive subtype instead of ethical subtype which is the more disengaged, spacey kind of INFJ.

Isn't Kurt Cobain INFP?

How do you know that all of these people are INFJ's?

I've answered this question in my reply to hush above. Essentially if you are familiar with their works and writing, there are certain elements, common themes, common ways of thinking and orienting in the world that begin to stand out, and that are also held in common with myself and other INFJs I've met and corresponded with, but not people of other types like INxPs.

Isn't Kurt Cobain INFP?
From what I've read of his interviews I type him as INFJ.

anyone? u guys aren't being very helpful...
Please make a new thread for this guy you want to be typed instead of spamming this one.

Post as many pictures, quotes, and videos of him as you can and you will get more feedback about his type.

You forgot hitler.
Hitler was ENFJ by my estimates, the intuitive subtype. From what I've listened on his speeches and observed of his manner of speaking and engaging the public, he most closely resembles some of the intuitive ENFJs that I've met in my life time.

INFJs for the most part seem to be more comfortable roles of being a power behind the throne rather than power on the throne. The later kind of roles often go to EJ types, ENFJs and ENTJs, as well as ESTJs and ESFJs many of whom occupy managerial positions. Introverts just don't have that kind of energy needed to pull through a world war. So I consider him ENFJ.

Mohatma Gandhi, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Jill Stein, Thomas Jefferson
Mahatma Gandhi definitely, INFJ 1w9.

The other three people I don't have enough information on to comment either way.
