That's effed up man. I wonder if the Koch (pronounced Coke) brothers of Koch Industries have anything to do with this.
 
It's a conspiracy theory. If it be true nevertheless, there's not much you could do about it - so why worry?

Sorry, that wasn't supposed to sound harsh. But really, this is a conspiracy theory and, like most conspiracy theories, it wouldn't work very well in the real world. Although it is possible for powers to manipulate, it is extremely difficult to actually control. It would not be possible to form a world government and it is not possible to have absolute control due to the way humanity and culture works. It would take absolute subjugation among the powers that be and members of the media and members of the public - ABSOLUTE subjugation - for this to be plausible. You will never, ever get absolute subjugation. Not from everybody. And particularly not from a list of people that big who mostly have Type A personalities. To come to conclusions, plan effectively and brings those plans into effect they would need to have significant leverage. Also, any company that does very well - like Facebook say - and becomes a world power, would need to be let in on the scheme. And no, they really can't decide who does well. It would be very difficult to force that without their actions leaking. Things being taken down from Wikipedia are usually taken down from Wikipedia for being slanderous - like that list was.

The Bilderberg Group may be real: http://www.bilderbergmeetings.org/index.php but there is nothing particularly sinister about it. I think it sounds like good idea. The conspiracy theory part is that they control the world. They don't control the world, this is a method of diplomacy to promote positive relations between western countries.

There is a very valid reason to keep things secret. It allows for candidness. Diplomatic proceedings do tend to be kept secret - think Wikileaks cables - they don't want them in the light of day for diplomatic reasons.

Corruption happens. Even if they killed people who investigated (not likely) they would not be able to control the world nor create a world government. Just think of the concept and ask yourself "how?"

Also, why have the got a website with dates and venue of the meeting? To throw us off the scent? You could easily just be there at the venue when they turn up. They likely have security so you wouldn't be able to get in but just seeing them turn up should be enough to show they are being transparent about everything but the actual words they are saying (they even detail on the website which issues will be discussed).

The point is that the conspiracy theory isn't plausible. If it was a different conspiracy theory I might accept it. But in this case, the argument assumes power comes from the top, which is largely untrue because logically, it just doesn't work.

The Bilderberger group exists, but not the way it is portrayed in the "conspiracy theory" corner of the Internet. Basically a group of powerful men (politicians, businessmen etc.) coordinating their ideas and actions. There are hundreds of societies whose members are powerful people. Ever heard of the Mont Pelerin Society?

They did try to kill Daniel Estulin back in the late nineties by setting up an empty elevator shaft at a hotel near one of their meetings. He's been following them for years and wrote a book that includes reports and documents that clearly outline their agenda to destroy the sovereignty of nations and subjugate the entire world's population to the criminal international banking system. The video in my previous post is an interview with him where he talks about some of this. They used to be more secrective about the location of their meetings, but they've been forced to become more open because of efforts of some brave people who track them. I agree that they will never acheive a New World Order because too many people are awake to their agenda.

You are far ahead of your time my friend. If we begin to look at our society, we then realize that we are all enslaved. This war, for instance, was never declared by the congress which makes it illegal and the, "mujahideen" use to be allies with America, so who are we really fighting here? America owns the Iraq and Afghanistan government, so what's really going on here? This war is wrong and it needs to end. We are being led by dishonest people who lack character.

Moreover, if we look into the situation that occured September 11, 2001; we see innocent pedestrians running up and helping the fire-fighters and police-men.... At that moment of great-tragedy, people only looked with their hearts... The senses Decieve....

People must free themselves and become conscious of what is going on for there to be a real change.

Another point: At that moment, everyone helped eachother to live... Clearly, then, it is our natural instict to come together and help eachother...

Did you know the whistleblower on the News of the World was found dead in his apartment when the shit hit the fan recently? The police said it wasn't suspicious but ha! Coincidences just don't happen like that.

Often conspiracy theories are based on two events happening one after the other or concurrently that are seen to be related but are not.
 
@Constant_Overstimulation; Have you recently smoked marijuana?

I only ask, because this seems to be a common theme among people I have met recently who are concerned about such conspiracies.

I am wondering if the tendency of marijuana to make some people slightly suspicious, paranoid, or fully schizophrenic may make such possible conspiracies seem all the more threatening.

Please note, I am not discounting the possibility that such conspiracies as mentioned in this thread may be in action. I am instead just testing to see if a recent streak of people somewhat concerned about these things has a common thread.
