Some time ago I was having drinks with colleagues and Nic Cage came up in conversation. "I hate him", I said, "Hate, hate, hate - I want to chew his throat out". My colleagues were shocked.

I don't know what was happening in my mind when I said that. I remember saying it, but now I can't see myself as being the person who said it, it seems like it was a different person. Someone at the bar must have slipped something neurotoxic into my drink. Or maybe I am just a poor mixed up wretch. But I'm so happy that I can't see myself uttering such traitorous words again. If I die before saying anything like that again, I will die satisfied.
