This is a question to those who are in the "revolution" scene. Do you protest nonviolently? Do you see this type of revolution as a long term solution? Do you see results?
Protest takes many forms
If you boycott certain goods or services then that is a form of protest
Street marches are really just a way to vent, show the level of dissatisfaction and to publicise your cause; they have their place but are rarely effective when they are the only action taken
Strikes have more impact but are only effective when enough people are involved and they are able to outlast the bosses
I think that the real revolution that is happening at the moment is the shift that is going on in peoples minds
People are learning how they have been lied to their entire lives. They are learning who is pulling the strings and how.
Once you begin to see that it is all bullshit then you tend to feel compelled to do something about it.
Many people across the world are now at that stage of looking for ways to change the system and there are many ideas out there, but at the moment there are few coherent large scale movements
Some of the main developments have been in decentralised technologies and in new political movements. So for example in Greece the syriza party is threatening to remove greece from the EU. This could cause a domino effect of other countries leaving
The PODEMOS party in spain is gaining ground and that too could take spain out of the EU
The Chinese have created their own bank to replace the western bretton woods system (eg IMF and world bank) and the UK and australia are two western powers who have signed upto that
The chinese have also created their own payment system CIPS to replace SWIFT, so for better or worse we are seeing a shift of sorts to the east
The US government has just told Israel that it must give up palestinean land: [FONT=&]

People are buying gold and silver around the world anticipating the collapse of the dollar paper currency
Some people are investing more and more into crypto-currencies
There are changes of all sorts occuring everywhere and pretty fast really but when we look out the window we don't see instant change and that does seem frustrating at times
I think we need to be the change we want to see in the world as ghandi said. So think about what kind of world you would like to live in and then act accordingly. if you want a world where everyone eats organic food not food laden with cancer causing chemicals then invest in eating organic food because your money is a form of vote...it is shaping the world and the more people who begin to think in that way the more rapid the change will become
