I think I've seen stranger like the libertarian national socialist green party, flange party or others which were running in the US in the ninties Clinton era before the war on terror. What's the strangest that you've discovered or encountered?

As to the rest of this thread, I can't say that any political party would surprise me at this point. I used to live in a town not too far from a Nazi political party meeting spot. On the other hand, I am surprised that certain parties still exist...

I think it was the 2000 elections which brought out a lot of the weirdness in US politics, it was before the new cold war (on terror) or the complete consolidation of the libertarian political currents in the US.
