Do you remember the first album you ever bought? I remeber saving some pocket money and after asking enough times (100 or so), the rest for my parents. Ordered this from a catalogue. Ah memories. :)

Alanis Morissette
Jagged Little Pill

I had three or four and I don't remember which came first (I was around age 10) ...

Beethoven Concerto No. 5
Robert Palmer - Riptide
Darryl Hall/Oats - Big Bam Boom

(omg lol, I'm feeling a bit old ... I still love their voices)

*shakes cane* Now get off my lawn.

Jason Derulo by, shockingly enough, Jason Derulo. I feel far too young right now. I also feel far too dorky for not buying a music album until high school, unless one counts the Fiddler on the Roof Broadway cast album.

The first album I ever bought was either a compilation of music from The X Files or the Toy Story soundtrack.

I think I was 8 and my dad used to take us to buy one CD and one book every weekend...

I *loved* Shakespeare's sister back in the day. :D

I remember going into the store and having money to buy my very own first album (before this time, I used to put my tape player against the radio and record a block of songs - anyone remember those days?).

I remember... ;D My friends have piles of mixtapes with dubious sound quality after getting a doohickey with two tape decks. High tech.

...I still think Siobhan Fahey is awesome. :D

A picture is worth a 1,000 words....

I was eight. I got my ears pierced and bought
an enrique iglesias cd. My dad let me because I
didn't cry when I got my ears pierced. And because
he knew it would piss my mother off. A few days
later they announced their divorce to us (;

I should also mention the album was in Spanish.
Birdie does not know spanish.

I did own a lot of music but through being given or presents. this was my first album I bought when I was 14, after having to cancel a snowboard trip I organised at school. Solid misery, I love it.

Seeing as everything I buy musically is digital now, the earliest I can remember is probably this.

Didn't like the album song on there, kind of boring to me. But this and "Baptism Of Fire" are the best ones imo.

When I heard this, I was completely in love in both of them... One of the three top albums in my life.
