College production of "Hay Fever", written by Noel Coward

[h=4]Synopsis[/h]


Hay Fever is a comedy which is part farce and part comedy if manners. The play is set in the 1920s in the English countryside. The plot concerns the Bliss family, a group of people with eccentric behavior. They invite a guest for the weekend, but the guest ends up fleeing the house. The Bliss family does not even notice that their guest has left.

It was interesting, some characters were done well, and the sardonic tone was evident. The actors who played Sandy and Jackie did pretty well. Some actors were amazing, others were a bit obvious and didn't seem completely comfortable in the role. There was at least two experienced actors and they balanced out the cast fairly well. A few minor characters were pretty funny, slightly outshining the main ones.
