dunno
Hi guys. I read on www.mypersonality.info that Mel Gibson and Adam Sandler are INFJs. Mel Gibson's gone off the rails, and Adam Sandler made 'You don't mess with the Zohan' (that movie was pretty crass).

I was wondering what you folks think about these guys?

I think "off the rails" can describe an INFJ pretty well. :P

As for Adam Sandler, does he even have a personality to type?

haha, true.

Sandler's interesting. I mean how is he outside of his comedic acting, to know?

Wait, he's a comedic actor? I thought he was just a replacement the director got in to read lines in the absence of any real actor.

Yes, he's an actor and a comedian, but more comedian than actor.

But I did like him in the "Wedding Singer"

I thought the main prerequisite for a comedian was the ability to make someone laugh.

Whomp whomp.

I dunno, I know he plays moronic characters a lot, but I remember an interview with someone from SNL some other actor turned director who said that behind the camera, Sandler is actually quite intelligent and much more business oriented. I could see that, most of his characters seem like he is either just messing around and feeding us crap and making dough on it anyway, or he is making fun of us, which I prefer to believe. Some of the stuff he's said in interviews comes off very serious, like he turns humor on and off when he needs it, so I am guessing he is fairly sharp.

How can you not like this?!

Whos to say Mel is off his rocker? He could be on to something but the majority is louder and stronger so he brushed off as crazy.

Adam Sandler was hilarious and gets less and less funny with time.

I'm not a fan. I think I vaguely recall seeing one film in which Sandler is acceptable, but usually he is really irritating. I was a little surprised when I saw multiple Sandler films among the favorite movies on the facebook page of a girl whom I strongly suspect to be an INFJ.

I can't sit through almost any Sandler movies, especially the more recent ones (Wedding Singer was alright). I for the most part don't find him funny in the slightest. However, aside from my opinion of his comedy, I agree with Billy. I get the impression that he is really quite intelligent.

Mel Gibson an INFJ...I could see that I guess.

i see INFP in adam sandler.
He's focused on his own values (Fi) rather than other people (Fe).

If Mel Gibson and Adam Sandler are representations of the male INFJ species, then may god have mercy on whomever crosses their paths. :m169:

I could see both as INFJ though that is colored as I haven't seen a lot of them outside movies (interviews, etc.). Mel's movies that he has directed scream INFJ. Adam Sandler...not as sure. He's pretty loud and crass, but I do see a sensitive side to his work. I'd say a good chance on both. BTW I am split on his work, like some of it quite a bit, hate a lot of it.

Mel, well all I can say is his life is now one big Conspiricy Theory! (which is an INFJ trait btw!)

Regardless of acting skills, I love Adam Sandler, always have and always will :)

And it wouldn't surprise me if he was INFJ.

I don't care enough about Mel to pay any attention.

I dig a lot of Sandler's work, though I have moved on somewhat from a lot of his work. I used to love his audio skits when I was in high school, and I liked some of his movies such as the Waterboy. I think one of my favorite movies of his was Punchdrunk Love though in that it was such an unconventional role as opposed to the Waterboy-esque characters that he normally plays.

Gibson....dunno, don't care.

Mel, not much. I just don't care one way or the other.

Adam, I actively dislike. I find him irritating. His comedic style leaves me flat at best, and in film, his romantic aesthetic attempts to pluck heartstrings I have either retuned or removed.

That said, the above comment says a lot more about me and my taste than anything of meaning as it concerns Adam, if that wasn't already clear.

cheers,
Ian
