Struggling with the wind strengthens their wings and muscles, making migration easier for the youngest birds. Every now and again a lone duck will break from a group to the call, only to have one of the group break to it and bring it back to the group. Awesome sight. Everything else seems like it doesn't exist at the time. I get excited.

Chin up. Back to the wind. I love watching waterfowl make their way through a moderate to strong wind to me. The rest of the world seems like it is all going away, but hit that call and here they come with a little coaxing. Enjoy the birds and let the rest go. Watch them work their miracles in the sky, and their lighting on the water with feet out.
