Well I'm sending good thoughts for you! Religion/spirituality can be a really difficult thing to define for yourself, especially when you have people telling you exactly how to believe. My family is catholic and I had to spend 10 years in religious classes, I know how tough it can be at times. Hope all else is well! What have you been up to besides school? Anything fun?

I recommend you watch the movie Aurore le film on youtube. It's in french with english subtitles. Very sad movie but also very powerful.

Oh yes I love the "What are you mixed with, do you have a white grandparent or parent" question. And people say that like they are COMPLIMENTING you and look incredulous when you get annoyed. Heh.

It's terribly annoying - and yes, I've gotten it. It's frustrating, too. What's difficult is when other people don't get it. When they miss the subtle racism in their words without understanding why.
