  • First time I had indigestion where I felt I was having a heart attack at work, I left right then and walked to the corner bar. Asked for two shots and a glass of water at the bar. When she came back with the water, I asked for two more shots. Downed them and asked for a single shot. Ordered a sixth and the guy next to me said, "Mister, if you don't stop what you are doing, you are going to fall off that bar stool and hurt yourself." I said, "Sir, I feel like I'm going to die, so that really doesn't matter to me right now." Drank the sixth shot down and the heart attack feeling went away. Walked back to work and told them I wasn't going to die. Walked home and was in the bed for a nap. I learned about Rolaids when I talked to the doctor the next day.
I will, totally. And I think it's really awesome that you have such an investment in IT and the like. I myself wish I had a better understanding of networking and computing - it's one of the few fields of study and work that really frustrates me with how little I know about it.
I've been thinking about going Army and getting an 18X contract. I figure if I'm going to devote four to eight years of my life to service, I may as well do something which will push me beyond my physical and mental limits and constantly engage all my cognitive faculties - plus, a job which is a combination of doorkicking and building relationships just sounds alright to me.
Ahaha. You kind've sounded like, and I say this affectionately, a nerdy IT guy : D

I was definitely expecting your voice to be deeper
Nope, nothing like that. Just an enthusiast and someone who's considering it as a career path.
I haven't listened yet (I have to get on a real comp to do that), but now you have peaked my curiosity.
sorry I just saw the rep comment!! I'm fine! days are getting better daily haha. how are you!
It's a matter of replanning my study schedule. I am trying to decide between 6 hrs a day every other day and 3 he's every day.
I think the question is more where wouldn't I go, cause I would go anywhere and everywhere. BUT, I would need a travel partner braver than I.
I moved further north, but I'm still close enough to campus - it's not a bad commute at all. :D And yep, good times indeed!
