I forgot the 'conversation' button again. (:

Thanks, Ishmael sounds like a very interesting book, I should read it. I agree that there's too much, but actually many topics can be simplified, joined, re-organized, so that it's easier. Also the visual approach is very powerful and saves time. For example, imagine instead of writing chem. formulas, we directly operate with molecules in 3D computer space. And there could be far better educational programs made, see this one:

Most of the "complexity" of the way science is presented right now is not needed. It can be reduced and made more functional instead.
I warmly recommend you Dostoyevsky too then. (:

About science, I used to view it in very narrow terms and to keep too focused. Now I realized almost anything is science, and all the sciences are inter-related. We should not view them so separately. So I read and watch *anything* that seems interesting. I also used to be extremely theory-oriented, and now I prefer topics with useful applications. Just an example: Food Science. I don't know why it isn't taught at school - we all eat, and that affects our health, working ability and thinking! It should be the first thing to learn.
Hah, just discovered the forum function "conversation". How useful!

So you may become a writer someday? Any particular interests in the themes of writing? About books I like, lately I read mostly science and "practical" articles. Otherwise: Dostoyevsky, Tolstoy, Dickens, and in general authors who aim to be objective in their analysis of life.
Hello! So what types of books do you like to read? When did you decide on your career, and did you have doubts? Any other major subjects that you liked in high school? Nice to be your friend. (:
