  • I know. I was just cutting off the "You don't really know because you didn't go back in time to be there" route with "If I don't know then you don't know either" basically.

Mainly because in my experience with these discussions it invariably ends up there. So I was preempting it by showing how absurd it gets.
I think everyone should get some leeway to be shitty sometimes, since everyone is shitty sometimes. Being shitty is just a part of life.

I just think it's unreasonable to expect people to never be shitty just because you were able to resist it during your specific situation when you were grieving, especially when it involves telling people they should futher alter their circumstances to preserve the fragile feelings of others on the off chance they might upset a vulnerable person. Sometimes a person is more responsible and they have more of a choice, and sometimes some types of people don't have as much control as others, especially during certain periods of their life. Not everyone is capable of handling emotions on the same level.
Compromised emotions can compromise judgment. Not saying it's an excuse or that it allows people to escape any consequences of their actions, just that sometimes people don't have the best judgment or control.

If the world doesn't owe you anything, why should you owe the world, though?
I think if a person's judgment is compromised to the point where they'd have random public outburts, then the ability to decide that maybe they should stay home is something a lot of people in that situation probably wouldn't have access to at the time.
My Steam name is ardiel. Anyone is welcome to it. :P

I don't usually accept friends though so let me know yours also first so I know to accept it.
I guess we can agree to disagree on that one....I do think that there are a lot of (mostly Christians but not all inclusive) people who maybe know a few things here and there of atrocities committed but they have either never looked into the full actual history or refuse to admit it was as bad as it was. And yes, most of the people on that thread were kind and not trying to prove her beliefs to be invalid or misconstrued...and neither was I.
No...don’t get me wrong....I don’t think that anything he said was wrong, although making fun of the underwear was unnecessary. I was only trying to give a little perspective...many seem to go through life with a rose-colored view of Christianity or any religion for that matter. History argues the case.
He was a little snarky about it is all...that always gets me going to the opposite....lol.
If I were in your head, I'd be playing the circus theme on windpipes and whispering all sorts of fun suggestions. "Put bananas in your ears. Go ahead. Do it. It'll be totally sexy..."
In fact I was so clever at made up words, at one I point spoke about an insect using the taxonomic name, I forget what it was, but somebody thought I made it up and was surprised to find that I didn't. I got a kick out of that one.
Maybe it will, but I doubt it would be any worse than my propensity for made up words such as 'bontifilous bootyclap' or 'lefticated flagons', or 'klaxus quo pruxtrus'
