What I meant by that was if you were to assume something about a type, your assuming something about a large group of people, a majority of whom you have never and will never meet.

IMO it's bad, sweeping generalizations are rarely good, and no one person should be judged according to how someone else of there type acts. Dealing with the mess that someone else made is a pain in the but? So how about someone you've never met?
