Are we as a society being kept from discussing the big issues?

We need to watch more games like Gladiator. The Senators kept the people down with the games. Entertainment.

I go fish or hunt. Learned a lot more valuable lessons around those likeminded than watching the boob tube, anyway.

Regarding search engines...are they that bad? Are advertisements all that bad. They call my office several times a day to update my google listing I don't have. Are they checking to see where I am? Don't let a little technology drown you in fear, and don't believe everything you hear. Things like Snowden was CIA and leaked what the world wanted the world to hear. I'm going to watch a cartoon movie.

Technology is a double edged sword

We just need to make sure it ends up working for us not the other way around!

The Speech That Got John F. Kennedy Killed

In his address before the American Newspaper Publishers Association, John F. Kennedy talked about 'a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy' that rules the world.

That speech was apparently the one that sealed his fate.

Selected Transcript of John F. Kennedy's Address before the American Newspaper Publishers Association, April 27, 1961:

“The very word "secrecy" is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers which are cited to justify it.

Even today, there is little value in opposing the threat of a closed society by imitating its arbitrary restrictions. Even today, there is little value in insuring the survival of our nation if our traditions do not survive with it. And there is very grave danger that an announced need for increased security will be seized upon by those anxious to expand its meaning to the very limits of official censorship and concealment. That I do not intend to permit to the extent that it is in my control.

And no official of my Administration, whether his rank is high or low, civilian or military, should interpret my words here tonight as an excuse to censor the news, to stifle dissent, to cover up our mistakes or to withhold from the press and the public the facts they deserve to know. For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence--on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day.

It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific and political operations. Its preparations are concealed, not published. Its mistakes are buried not headlined. Its dissenters are silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned, no rumor is printed, no secret is revealed.

Without debate, without criticism, no Administration and no country can succeed-- and no republic can survive. That is why the Athenian lawmaker Solon decreed it a crime for any citizen to shrink from controversy. And that is why our press was protected by the First (emphasized) Amendment-- the only business in America specifically protected by the Constitution-- not primarily to amuse and entertain, not to emphasize the trivial and sentimental, not to simply "give the public what it wants"--but to inform, to arouse, to reflect, to state our dangers and our opportunities, to indicate our crises and our choices, to lead, mold educate and sometimes even anger public opinion.

This means greater coverage and analysis of international news-- for it is no longer far away and foreign but close at hand and local. It means greater attention to improved understanding of the news as well as improved transmission.

And it means, finally, that government at all levels, must meet its obligation to provide you with the fullest possible information outside the narrowest limits of national security... And so it is to the printing press--to the recorder of mans deeds, the keeper of his conscience, the courier of his news-- that we look for strength and assistance, confident that with your help man will be what he was born to be: free and independent.”

Jim Marrs has some interesting stuff to say about this... he came to the conclusion that more than one group were involved and their motives were various... basically, there weren't too many people with power, the means and connections, that he didn't tick off from the mafia types to hawks in the CIA and elsewhere (and LBJ). A flight attendant on Air Force One with him also claimed that he talked about aliens/ufos and to the best of my knowledge there was an FOIA paper that came across his desk about aliens when he was with naval intelligence, so he was probably already somewhat in the know on that. Also, the last time I quoted you, I didn't mean for it to seem as if I was giving you a lecture, but that it was related to the exchange from which I quoted you. I'm guessing that he had the suspicion that somebody was going to try to do him in and it was kind of a last act of defiance, as with the Eisenhower speech.

As to disclosure, I haven't watched the vid yet, but I think one of the side-benefits they want from legal weed is that people will go get themselves blasted instead of rioting... maybe.

It would be interesting to “be in the know” about stuff like this and about UFO and the like wouldn’t it?
I didn’t take what you said that way at all…no worries.

Is it ok if I put this ongoing obstruction to knowledge regarding ancient Egypt here?

One of my all time heroes is Graham Hancock. He is gearing up for a show down between himself and Zahi Hawas - keeper of all things ancient and pyramidal over there. There is a huge increase in people interested in ancient civilizations and there is growing evidence humanity is far - FAR - older than the prevailing archeologists and historians would have us believe.
I have been waiting for this time since the early 90's when I found Joseph Campbell and Graham Hancock around the same time.

It seems Hawas is suppressing action taken in 2006 and is trying to frame some young men from their visit in 2013. For the life of me I don't understand how these people in control think they'll get away with blatant lies.... I guess I'll find out.

[h=5]Graham Hancock

[/h]More great investigative research by Robert Bauval proving that the famous "cartouche of Khufu" in the upper relieving chamber of the Great Pyramid of Giza was damaged between 2004 and 2006 while Zahi Hawass had complete control over all the monuments of the Giza Plateau and not in April 2013 as Hawass has subsequently claimed.

In the light of this evidence Hawass's insistence on the arrest and jailing of a group of six junior inspectors for complicity in the alleged damaging of the cartouche in April 2013 seems all the more perverse -- particularly so since Bauval presents evidence that "Dr Hawass inspected the cartouche several times after 2006 but failed to report the crime". I am scheduled to hold a face-to-face debate with Zahi Hawass in Egypt in April 2015 and intend to confront him with this and many other matters that it is high time he was required to answer for in a public forum and in front of cameras.

The debate will take place on 21 and 22 April at the Great Pyramid, and in a conference hall at the Mena House hotel, and will be part of a tour that I am hosting in Egypt, 12-25 April 2015. Details here: http://www.timeofanewera.com/tour-egypt-grand-tour-with-graham-hancock-and-dr-zahi-hawass,23.html. Please note I am not responsible for the administration or financial aspects of the tour so if you want further information please contact the organisers directly on this email address: contact@timeofanewera.com

It would be, and also probably quite dangerous. Honestly, I bet the number of humans who have a (nearly) complete grasp of the situation could be counted with a person's toes and fingers. To my mind, the number needs to be higher for a disclosure to be done well, before it's too late and nobody trusts a word they have to say and it turns into a chaotic witch hunt -- I think they have fair imaginations about the sort of congressional and world politicking that would go on. Of course, the catch 22 is that doing that would mean that it may leak out in an uncontrolled manner, and people going bat**** looting, warring and whatnot, at least that's the fear of the sane ones, and the others probably just want power afforded by the knowledge differential or find it far more comfortable than the prospect of trying to tell people after 60 years of it being lied about.

There's definitely more to ancient Egypt than we're taught. The showdown between the Pharaoh's sorcerers and God I find... telling. I think that a bunch of slavers were probably more deserving of such a demonstration of the lengths that He was prepared to go to than anybody is now. I also think it's hard to call someone evil who starts out by freeing slaves, and whose commandants mostly seem to be related to a person's well being, physical or psychological.

God wasn't freeing the slaves because they were slaves. God was freeing them because they were God's people, and to show Pharaoh who is boss.

This is evidenced by the killing of firstborn, regardless of whose firstborn it was.

4 So Moses said, “Thus says the Lord: ‘About midnight I will go out in the midst of Egypt,
5 and every firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sits on his throne, even to the firstborn of the slave girl who is behind the handmill, and all the firstborn of the cattle.
6 There shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there has never been, nor ever will be again.
7 But not a dog shall growl against any of the people of Israel, either man or beast, that you may know that the Lord makes a distinction between Egypt and Israel.’
8 And all these your servants shall come down to me and bow down to me, saying, ‘Get out, you and all the people who follow you.’ And after that I will go out.” And he went out from Pharaoh in hot anger.
9 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Pharaoh will not listen to you, that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.”

10 Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh, and the Lord hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he did not let the people of Israel go out of his land.

The Lord said to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt,
2 “This month shall be for you the beginning of months. It shall be the first month of the year for you.
3 Tell all the congregation of Israel that on the tenth day of this month every man shall take a lamb according to their fathers' houses, a lamb for a household.
4 And if the household is too small for a lamb, then he and his nearest neighbor shall take according to the number of persons; according to what each can eat you shall make your count for the lamb.
5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male a year old. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats,
6 and you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of this month, when the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill their lambs at twilight.

7 “Then they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and the lintel of the houses in which they eat it.
8 They shall eat the flesh that night, roasted on the fire; with unleavened bread and bitter herbs they shall eat it.
9 Do not eat any of it raw or boiled in water, but roasted, its head with its legs and its inner parts.
10 And you shall let none of it remain until the morning; anything that remains until the morning you shall burn.
11 In this manner you shall eat it: with your belt fastened, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. And you shall eat it in haste. It is the Lord's Passover.
12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt that night, and I will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and on all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments: I am the Lord.
13 The blood shall be a sign for you, on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and no plague will befall you to destroy you, when I strike the land of Egypt.

I think the biblical story is really pointing to Egypt as being a source of the hebrews magick

[h=1]Government Plan Would Transform Israel Into The World’s First Cashless Society[/h]
May 26th, 2014

Read more at http://investmentwatchblog.com/gove...s-first-cashless-society/#oSZhZigCibh4yRSx.99

Will Israel be the first cashless society on the entire planet? A committee chaired by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s chief of staff has come up with a three phase plan to “all but do away with cash transactions in Israel”. Individuals and businesses would still be permitted to conduct cash transactions in small amounts (at least initially), but the eventual goal is to force Israeli citizens to conduct as much business as possible using electronic forms of payment. In fact, it has been reported that Israeli officials believe that “cash is bad” because it fuels the underground economy and allows people to avoid paying taxes. It is hoped that requiring most transactions to be conducted in cash will reduce crime and help balance the national budget. And once 98 or 99 percent of all transactions are cashless, it will not be difficult for the Israeli government (or any other government) to go the rest of the way and ban cash transactions altogether. But is a cashless society actually desirable? This is a question that people all over the world will have to start asking as governments increasingly restrict the use of cash.
Back in September, it was announced that the Israeli government had formed a committee to “examine ways to eliminate cash from the Israeli economy”
The government on Tuesday authorized establishment of a committee that will examine ways to eliminate cash from the Israeli economy – the better to prevent citizens from cheating on their taxes. The committee will be chaired by Harel Locker, director of the Prime Minister’s Office.
This committee had the full backing of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and some of the goals of the committee included finding ways to increase tax revenue and prevent money laundering
Officials in the Prime Minister’s Office declared that “around the world, it is recognized that cash is a key element of the illegal economy and money laundering. It allows a wide gap between reported and actual incomes, with the corresponding effect on tax revenues.” By eliminating cash, the PMO said, “it will be possible to expand the tax base, and prevent money laundering.” The committee will study the issue from all its perspectives and make recommendations, the PMO said.
The committee has had quite a few months to examine these issues, and now they have come back with their recommendations. Just this week we learned that a three phase plan is being proposed…
A special committee headed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s chief of staff, Harel Locker, has recommended a three-phase plan to all but do away with cash transactions in Israel.
The motivation for examining a cash-less economy is combatting money laundering and other tax-evasion tactics, thereby maximizing potential tax collection and greatly expanding the tax base. This is important considering the enormous strain put on Israel’s national budget by the army, healthcare system and other public services.
The committee estimated that the black market represents over 20 percent of Israel’s GDP, and cash is the facilitating factor. Cash enables tax evasion, money laundering and even financing terrorism.
So what do the specifics of the plan look like?
Well, there will be very strict limits on the use of cash for individuals and businesses, any violations will be considered criminal offenses, and all Israeli banks will be required to issue debit cards to all account holders
What the committee would like to see happen, pending government approval, is greater restriction on the use of cash, limiting the use of checks as a means of payment and exchange for cash, and promotion of the use of electronic (and therefore verifiable) means of payment.
The following guidelines were set out by the committee for the short-term:

 • Limit business transactions done in cash or by check to NIS 7,500 ($2,150) immediately, and reduce that further to NIS 5,000 ($1,433) one year from the date of legislation;
 • Limit private transactions done in cash or by check to NIS 15,000 ($4,300);
 • Any violation of these limits would be a criminal offense warranting a stiff fine.
In conjunction with these new restrictions, Israeli banks would be required to provide all account holders with debit cards to further promote electronic payments.
But of course this move toward a cashless society is not just happening in Israel.
In Sweden, it is estimated that just 3 percent of all transactions involve cash at this point. In fact, according to an article in the Washington Post, some Swedish banks do not handle cash at all anymore…
In most Swedish cities, public buses don’t accept cash; tickets are prepaid or purchased with a cell phone text message. A small but growing number of businesses only take cards, and some bank offices — which make money on electronic transactions — have stopped handling cash altogether.
“There are towns where it isn’t at all possible anymore to enter a bank and use cash,” complains Curt Persson, chairman of Sweden’s National Pensioners’ Organization.
And the U.S. is starting to move in that direction as well.
According to a study conducted by MasterCard, approximately 80 percent of all consumer transactions in the United States are now cashless.
But isn’t there a downside to all of this?
Just about everything that we do in life involves money. So yes, a government can track electronic payments to make sure taxes are being paid and money laundering is not happening, but it would also enable a government to do so much more.
If a government can track all of your transactions, it will essentially be able to monitor everywhere you go and pretty much keep track of virtually everything that you do.
If you doubt this, just try to live without any money some time.
You won’t get very far without putting some gas in your vehicle.
And without being able to buy food, you will get hungry pretty quickly.
Are you starting to understand?
This is why governments love the idea of moving toward a cashless society. It would give them an immensely powerful surveillance tool.
So let us hope that this does not happen in Israel or anywhere else in the world either.

Maybe I read too much into it, but I assumed that's why He took them as His people. Would He have done that if they weren't kept as slaves?

Not only were they (according to the bible) God's people before they went to Egypt, God was the one who told them to go to Egypt.

Genesis 46

1 So Israel set out with all that was his, and when he reached Beersheba, he offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac.
2 And God spoke to Israel in a vision at night and said, “Jacob! Jacob!”
“Here I am,” he replied.

3 “I am God, the God of your father,” he said. “Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you into a great nation there.
4 I will go down to Egypt with you, and I will surely bring you back again. And Joseph’s own hand will close your eyes.”

[h=1]Ex-Australian Prime Minister Confirms Israel Attacked America[/h]
[h=2]by Joshua Blakeney[/h]

Former Prime Minister of Australia Malcolm Fraser

This video, narrated and edited by Joshua Blakeney, contains segments of an ABC radio interview with the former Prime Minister of Australia Malcolm Fraser in which he confirms that Israel deliberately attacked the USS Liberty on June 8th 1967.
The Israeli regime has always maintained that the US naval vessel was torpedoed “accidentally” however countless military experts have for some time alleged that it was a false-flag operation designed to induce conflict between the US and those Arab countries Israel was at the time vanquishing in the so called Six Day War.
Mr. Fraser’s confirmation of Israel’s malicious intent is significant because it underscores the reality that Israel is willing to attack her allies if push comes to shove.
The video also hones in on Jon Faine, the Jewish-Zionist gatekeeper who hosts the ABC radio program in question. Anthony Lawson’s videos addressing Faine’s hostility toward working-class-hero Kevin Bracken compliment this video nicely and are highly recommended:

US is encircling Russia and China with missiles and building what it calls a missile defence sheild so that it can create a first strike capability against Russia and China with the hope of then preventing any retaliation

This then removes the barrier these countries provide to bringing about the New World Order, 4th Reich of totalitarian dominance of the human populace:

I present this thread as proof that society is not keeping us from discussing the big issues.

Well dang, most of the stuff I've been talking about has already been done on Ancient Aliens, lol. I kind of assumed it was going to be one of those shite shows where they pick out all of the worst arguments in favor and all of the best against.

I present this thread as proof that society is not keeping us from discussing the big issues.

Until this stuff makes it into the mainstream news then society is being prevented from discussing the big issues

Large numbers of people are still stuck in the perceptual bubble created by the mainstream news. They don't listen to other news sources because they still trust the mainstream corporate news...so they only know what the corporations tell them which is invariably lies

To burst that bubble they have to encounter information that is counter to the information that is presented in the corporate mainstream news

It's all about perception

So this thread by showing how much stuff is really going on outwith the false perception of reality created by the mainstream corporate news is actually proof that we are as a society being prevented from discussing the big issues

if you don't believe me try discussing some of this stuff with people and see how you get on. Some will call you 'crazy' some will react angrily, some will be bemused, some incredulous, some confused and some will be interested but you will often find that it is new to them; that is changing though and more and more people have heard of things like 'false flag' attacks or the Bilderberg Club or the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) or Operation Gladio or 'strategy of tension' or how the central banks like the fed are actually privately owned etc
