Dark music

Dark music is almost always a go for me. I feel it let's you express emotions you otherwise would have to keep bottled up. I feel it is a much needed outlet for me.
 
I wouldn't necessarily call it dark but the themes surrounding it are chilling.

Penderecki, in general, makes music I would consider dark classical music. Someone once said his Christmas Symphony sounds like "Christmas in Mordor".

I always associate the 80s (or representative music) with dark tunes. Synth, percussive rhythm. Like a growing lesion in the chest.
