Report: Miami police shoot naked man chewing on victim's face

A Miami police officer fatally shot a naked man chewing the face of another man Saturday afternoon on a downtown causeway off-ramp, officials said.

The Miami Herald reported that the naked man chewed off half the face of his victim, who is struggling for his life.

The violence started at 2 p.m. on the MacArthur Causeway off-ramp, just south of the Herald’s offices, the newspaper said.

Witnesses said that a woman saw two men fighting and flagged down a police officer, who came upon the naked man mauling the other man, the Herald reported.

The officer, who was not identified, ordered the naked man to back away, but when the man continued the assault, the officer shot him, the Herald said. Witnesses told the Herald the wounded attacker continued to eat his victim, so the officer continued firing.

Witnesses said they heard at least a half-dozen shots, the Herald said.

The naked man was later seen lying face down on the pedestrian walkway just below the newspaper’s two-story parking garage, the Herald said.

The naked man’s victim was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital Ryder Trauma Center and had critical injuries, police told the Herald.

Neither man was identified.

Hm.

Did anyone explain why? I wonder if this guy has had face-eating urges before, but in all his years of life managed to suppress it. That would be a hard inclination to hide. What aggravated him? What were the circumstances, if any, that led to this? Unless he hid it before, this would have had to be the first time he chewed someone's face off... why?

I just... can't imagine what was going on in his head. It would have taken quite a bit of effort and determination to chew through someone's skin and flesh like that... did he actually eat it, or just chew it off? Why was he naked? Why did he keep on doing it even while being shot at? Insanity seems likely, but even then, all that blood, I just, I don't...

There is a lot of information left out or unknown. Even though it's sickening, there needs to be more context.
 
Like you [MENTION=4598]hush[/MENTION], I have a lot of questions. I'm sure it will take some time for the police to piece together the information since the mauler is dead.

We had an incident with a guy up here who thought he was an alien. He beheaded a guy on a greyhound bus full of other people and ate part of him.

We will see if they do an autopsy on the guy eating face.
 
What I find disturbing is the likelihood that there are even more cases of things like this happening that we do not hear about. Whether they be induced by pure insanity, drug use, or other...

This world is a crazy place, mang.

I mean, there is a high probability that there is a serial killer out there somewhere in the world right now cooking up bits of his/her victims.

For every story you "hear about" there are hundreds more actually happening that will probably never even be reported...

I recently listened to an interview with former LAPD officer Michael Ruppert and he said that people on PCP were the worst, not only psychotic, but also wildly violently with inhuman strength. He said one guy on PCP actually managed to bite his testicles after they strapped him down. And then there's that famous story Endersgone posted. Look at this guy:

If the guy in Miami who survived suddenly wakes up in the hospital and starts eating nurses, we'll know...
