I've noticed we have quite a few gamers here on the forums, so I'm just wondering what all your favorite video game is. Personally I can't do just one, I have to do a top 10. But feel free to list just one if you want. I know not everyone will have 10.

10.) Pokemon Yellow (Gameboy color)
9.) 007 Golden Eye (Nintendo 64)
8.) Tekken Tag Tournament (Arcade and Playstation 2)
7.) Age of Empires II (PC)
6.) Gran Turismo 5 (Playstation 3)
5.) Unreal tournament (PC)
4.) Grand Theft Auto III (Playstation 2)
3.) World of Warcraft (PC)
2.) Marathon (PC)
1.) Twisted Metal 2 (Playstation)

Not in any particular order.

All the Donkey Kong Country games (but 2 is my favourite) (Super Nintendo)

I had to think long and hard about this list! Any game I've played for 10+ years or still like and want to play after 10+ years made it. I like a lot of newer games too but they're still too "new" for the list!

The Legend of Zelda - 1986? (NES)
Phantasy Star - 1988 (Sega Master System)
Phantasy Star II - 1989 (Genesis)
Populous - 1989 (Genesis/PC)
Might & Magic II - 1989 (Genesis)
Civilization - 1991 (PC)
Final Fantasy III/VI - 1994 (SNES)
Masters of Orion 2 - 1996 (PC)
Fallout 1 & 2 - tied - 1997/1998 (PC)
Arcadia - MUD - mid-90's (Telnet)

Honorable mention: Ultima Online - 1997 (PC)

Favorites for story:
- Mass Effect series
- Half-Life series
- Bioshock series
- Braid
- Metal Gear Solid 4

Favorites for gameplay:
- Super Metroid
- Ninja Gaiden (xbox remake)
- Killzone 2
- Gears of War 2
- Portal series

Most absurdly memorable gameplay:
- Super Meat Boy
- Dark Void
- Vanquish
- Heavy Rain (only w/ PS Move)
- TimeShift

Can't guarantee accuracy as far as true 'favorites', this is just what came to mind.

After thinking about it some more, I need to add a separate category for the MMORPG/FPS's I've played since it doesn't seem fair to lump a multiplayer game in with single player ones.

Already Mentioned UO....

Star Wars Galaxies
Dark Age of Camelot
Aliens Online / Magestorm - 2 games released by Mythic prior to DAoC
Asheron's Call
EVE Online
Battlefield 2
Team Fortress 2
Day of Defeat (A multiplayer only, WWII Half Life I mod)
