Help Pierce understand his cognitive processes results!

Ummm... but I'm probably going to be pushing for my objectives until I retire, and even then I'll keep pushing a bit. They're fairly big long-term ambitions.

I would expect nothing less from an INTJ with a strong Te. Both of my INTJs are doctors, one of law, the other of biochemistry. Ni creates long term focus, and Te sees how it will all relate into the big picture.

What we have here is really interesting because it proofs a pattern. You're the NTJ version of how a lot of INFJs with strong Fe's seem like ENFJs. Your pattern is almost identical, but with the T's and F's reversed. When INFJs develop strong Fe, they also develop strong Fi just like you have developed strong Te and Ti. There have been half a dozen or so INFJs on the forums with this pattern of development, but you're the first INTJ. Thanks for presenting this so we can all learn from it.

Can I ask you something pierce? (and anyone else who would know)? What exactly is Ni, and how does it contrast with Ne? How does it manifest in your everyday life?

DAFS n00b. http://www.cognitiveprocesses.com/assessment/develop_old.html has some infos as you scroll down to the Ni and Ne portions of the test

Here's some more

Oh, so I seem like ENTJ sometimes when I'm pushing my objectives, but INTJ otherwise?

A pet theory of mine is something I call "varient forms" You seem to be an NTJ varient. Meaning, you are able to become an ENTJ or an INTJ depending on your current situation, and what is most needed of you. You are always an INTJ regardless. However, because of your function order, you are able to turn on other types and act as them, as you have learned that it has of great use to you.

IT SURE IS USEFUL. Nothing I like more than useful things. Kinda like some forum members.... extremely useful to me!

I wonder where the aggression comes from though? With aggression and ambition comes a sort of obsession and desperation.

Lots of types grab for their tertiary process (in your case, Fi) instead of their secondary.

INTJ: Ni (primary) -> Te (auxiliary) -> Fi (tertiary) -> Se (inferior)

Contrast this with:

INFJ: Ni (primary) -> Fe (auxiliary) -> Ti (tertiary) -> Se (inferior)

---------------
Why is this significant you might ask? -- I'll explain.

A lot of types grab for their tertiary process when they are suppressing or otherwise unable to use their auxiliary process. An INFJ might hyper-introvert by pairing Ni/Ti, as an INTJ might do the same by pairing Ni/Fi.

Hyper extroverts typically are that way when they pair THEIR tertiary processes (which are extroverted) as well. An ENTP might use Ne/Fe and seem almost like a feeling type, since they can become skillful at manipulating social relations (in both positive and negative contexts), even though internally they are driven by Ti, which forms the basis of their own value system.

It is the function of the auxiliary process to balance out our extroversion and introversion but some people are more at home with their orientation (intro/extro) so are less likely to use their auxiliary in an active form.

Von Hase, don't you ever feel bad that basically your job on the forums is to do cognitive processes, and if you didn't do that people would probably like you a lot less because you're not stroking their ego?

Are you by any chance a sociopath? Because I think that might explain a lot more than cognitive functions..

Actually I just love Von Hase because he is awesome, even if he where not to be here to enlighten us with his awesome MBTI wisdom.
