How Long Will Christians Stand By While Islamists Kill Their Brothers? PAX

I dunno man, you seem to be very strong in your personal convictions about things very few people in the world would agree with. In fact I would highly recommend looking at some alternative or foreign news media...

I'm glad you can piece together a few remarks as such. I am strong in my convictions. What do you suggest: Big Bang Theory?

It seems to me that we are already in a trench warfare that has no end in sight. To stay the course is to never win. If we escalate we lose, if we pull out completely we lose.

Well for as long as Obama is in office no real war will be allowed. Beyond that let me just say this is just one more reason why religion should probably be looked on as a mental sickness.

The important aspect of religiosity here is not unique to religiousness. You'll find people mobbing together to burn people alive etc to make themselves feel better with or without religion... or nailing them up somewhere, or sacking cities, or bombing them, or piling their heads in pyramids, or torturing them... the belief that it's okay to do such things is the problem.

What are we fighting for? What would winning even mean?

Excellent point. I think winning would mean people no longer have to live in fear of death or persecution because of their beliefs. You cant go around killing people just because you dont agree with their religion.

Unfortunately might does not make right. Kill one cockroach just to find a thousand waiting to take its place.

Naw, I would've just used a "scorched earth" policy, blithely leveling capitals from Nouakchott to Jakarta without any apologies (should there be any rioting against "The Great Satan" in the streets), after having destroyed Mecca, Medina and Riyadh.

The US didn't sit on its butt after Pearl Harbor was attacked. Bombing Afghanistan was not much of an accomplishment, since those people already were living in the Stone Age.

Humans are not so simple. The Watchmen is a good movie to watch if you want to know how muslims would respond. Band together to destroy the "great" satan that scorched our earth. Then even noncrazys would join the battle.

ISIS claims they will kill Christians until the world has been Islamized. They take videos of the killings and put them on the web. Does anyone ELSE see the sheep taking arms?

And here, boys and girls, we find out why it's important to learn your history:

[h=1]The First Crusade[/h]
cru2.h2.jpg
The First Crusade (1096 - 1099) played a very important part in Medieval England. The First Crusade was an attempt to re-capture Jerusalem. After the capture of Jerusalem by the Muslims in 1076, any Christian who wanted to pay a pilgrimage to the city faced a very hard time. Muslim soldiers made life very difficult for the Christians and trying to get to Jerusalem was filled with danger for a Christian. This greatly angered all Christians.
One Christian - called Alexius I of Constantinople - feared that his country might also fall to the Muslims as it was very close to the territory captured by the Muslims. Constantinople is in modern day Turkey. Alexius called on the pope - Urban II - to give him help.
In 1095, Urban spoke to a great crowd at Clermont in France. He called for a war against the Muslims so that Jerusalem was regained for the Christian faith. In his speech he said:

"Christians, hasten to help your brothers in the East, for they are being attacked. Arm for the rescue of Jerusalem under your captain Christ. Wear his cross as your badge. If you are killed your sins will be pardoned."

Those who volunteered to go to fight the Muslims cut out red crosses and sewed them on their tunics. The French word "croix" means cross and the word changed to "croisades" or crusades. The fight against the Muslims became a Holy War.
Many people did volunteer to fight on the First Crusade.
There were true Christians who wanted to reclaim Jerusalem for their belief and get the Muslims out of the city. There were those who knew they had committed sin and that by going on the Crusade they might be forgiven by God. They had also been told by the pope that if they were killed, they would automatically go to heaven as they were fighting for God. There were those who thought that they might get rich by taking the wealth that they thought existed in Jerusalem. Any crusader could claim to be going on a pilgrimage for God - pilgrims did not have to pay tax and they were protected by the Church.

A Crusader knight
The First Crusade had a very difficult journey getting to the Middle East. They could not use the Mediterranean Sea as the Crusaders did not control the ports on the coast of the Middle East. Therefore, they had to cross land. They travelled from France through Italy, then Eastern Europe and then through what is now Turkey. They covered hundreds of miles, through scorching heat and also deep snow in the mountain passes. The Crusaders ran out of fresh water and according to a survivor of the First Crusade who wrote about his experiences after his return, some were reduced to drinking their own urine, drinking animal blood or water that had been in sewage. Food was bought from local people but at very expensive prices. Odo of Deuil claims that these men who were fighting for God were reduced to pillaging and plunder in order to get food.
Disease was common especially as men were weakened by the journey and drinking dirty water. Dysentery was common. Heat stroke also weakened many Crusaders. Disease and fatigue affected rich and poor alike.
By 1097, nearly 10,000 people had gathered at Constantinople ready for the journey to the Holy Land. There was no one person in charge of the First Crusade. Urban II had made Bishop Adbenar the leader but he preferred to let others do the work and make decisions. They were four separate proper Crusader armies in the First Crusade but also a large number of smaller armies. However, there was no proper command structure and with the problems of communications at that time, it is possible that a command structure with one person in charge was an impossibility.
The first target of the Crusaders was the important fortress city of Nicea. This city was taken by the Crusaders without too much trouble as the man in charge of it was away fighting!
The next target for the Crusaders was Antioch - a strongly protected Turkish city. It took a seven month siege before the city fell. The next target was Jerusalem.
The attack and capture of Jerusalem started in the summer of 1099. Jerusalem was well-defended with high walls around it. The first attacks on the city were not successful as the Crusaders were short of materials for building siege machines. Once logs had arrived, two siege machines were built.
A monk called Fulcher was on the First Crusade. He wrote about the attack on the Holy City and he can be treated as an eye-witness as to what took place.
Fulcher claimed that once the Crusaders had managed to get over the walls of Jerusalem, the Muslim defenders there ran away. Fulcher claimed that the Crusaders cut down anybody they could and that the streets of Jerusalem were ankle deep in blood. The rest of the Crusaders got into the city when the gates were opened. The slaughter continued and the Crusaders "killed whoever they wished". Those Muslims who had their lives spared, had to go round and collect the bodies before dumping them outside of the city because they stank so much. The Muslims claimed afterwards that 70,000 people were killed and that the Crusaders took whatever treasure they could from the Dome of the Rock.

After the success of the Crusaders, the Kingdom of Jerusalem was created and its first king was Godfrey of Bouillon who was elected by other crusaders. He died in 1100 and was succeeded by his brother Baldwin of Boulogne.
The capture of Jerusalem did not end the Crusades as the Crusaders wanted to get rid of the Muslims from the whole region and not just Jerusalem. This desire ultimately led to the Second Crusade in 1147 as the threat from the Muslims grew over the following years.

I'm probably going to be approaching this from a different angle. From the scriptures, there's a lack of retaliation from Christians when it comes to persecution? I mean, from Jesus admonishing Peter when he cut off the ear of the servant, Stephen being stoned, Peter crucified upside down, Paul and Silas beaten and thrown in jail, etc. There's no version where the disciples got together to plan to get even. Is this a case of turning the other cheek or ?

I'm not one for violence. I don't think I'll ever be able to pick up a sword or a gun with the intention of killing, but I've never witnessed firsthand these atrocities, never had murders committed at my doorstep, or had to see my family member beheaded. I guess we'll never know if or when it comes to that. Like sheep led to slaughter?

Humans are not so simple. The Watchmen is a good movie to watch if you want to know how muslims would respond. Band together to destroy the "great" satan that scorched our earth. Then even noncrazys would join the battle.

Humans are pretty stupid--is our history not proof of that? I would just scorch more of their earth--and would that have been necessary, as I would have already destroyed their population centers? Eventually they might figure out that Allah wasn't coming to their aid...not that I have any high regard for any religion nowadays. They're all suitable for the trash in my mind.

...and what happened to John Lennon?

Obama is trying to help instill peace in Yemen. Why? Could it be to stop attacking the Iranian-led insurgency in Yemen so Iran can further exploit the region? If we recall, Obama wanted MB in power in Egypt; the sponsors of Hamas. Draw a picture of the world and look at what our president is up to and with whom. The whole while, AQAP is taking more control in Yemen.

The only way for peace with Hitler was peace through force.

...and what happened to John Lennon?

The only way for peace with Hitler was peace through force.

John Lennon was shot in the back by a crazed fan and died of blood loss.
If you are inferring that someone promoting peace should fear for their life in this world, then that is truly a sad state.

Hitler rose to power because the rest of the world stood by (including America) with their thumbs up their asses while Hitler smiled to their faces while stabbing them in back.
He rolled into Poland like Bush stood on the aircraft carrier banner reading “Mission Accomplished”. And what did the rest of the “civilized” western world do…well, they formally submitted declarations of war on Germany…well, except for the US…and the secret pact with Stalin that Hitler made.

The whole point is to NOT reach a point in our dialogue…in our compromises, that war is the only answer…because it should always be a last resort if a resort that should ever be used.
"There is no flag large enough to cover the shame of killing innocent people.” - Howard Zinn

Let me ask you flat out….
Why do you suddenly give a shit about the killings happening in the middle east now, when innocent people have been dying and killed there for years and years?
It is purely because they are Christian?
If so…what are your standards for a human being?

You know how many people our drone strikes have killed?
The women and children?
Indiscriminately.
A low estimate of 2400 is how may have died - http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/01/23/obama-drone-program-anniversary_n_4654825.html
In Pakistan alone, TBIJ estimates, between 416 and 951 civilians, including 168 to 200 children, have been killed.

We did that…us…would it have made a difference if those were all Christians?
If the answer to that question for you is “Yes”, then something is seriously wrong with they way you view your fellow man.

You obviously have a problem with what I am talking about, so why do you bother yourself with it?

[h=1]STAGECRAFT: ISIS Video ‘Execution’ of Ethiopians in Libya Appears Fake[/h] April 20, 2015 By Shawn Helton 9 Comments
Shawn Helton
21st Century Wire

A newly released ISIS video allegedly depicts some 30 Ethiopians being ‘executed’ in two separate locations in Libya.

However, one should take note, that this highly produced propaganda video – fails to provide any conclusive, or remotely credible evidence of a crime scene.
The terror installment said to have been carried out by ISIS militants entitled, “Until There Came to Them Clear Evidence,” was reportedly released by Al-Furqan Media, a media arm linked to the notorious Al-Hayat Media Center, the official media outlet for all sanctioned ISIS propaganda.

Once again, we see a terror motion picture which has been produced for dramatic effect, another work of deception – designed to create an emotional response within the viewer, rather than a rational one.

There have already been major questions concerning the validity of the ISIS propaganda videos. Still, they continue to function as a psychological assault on Western audiences, while serving to socially engineer western foreign policy in the process.

Here is another example…

‘SITE on the Scene’ – SITE Intel broadcasts ISIS propaganda material via social media.

Terror Trickery

On April 19th, it was Reported that a dozen or so Ethiopian men were executed along the beach near the edge of the Mediterranean Sea, while more than a dozen were shot in Southern Libya, but it’s important to remember that the video could have been filmed near almost any clear body of water. Similarly, the desert portion of the ISIS video could have also been filmed at nearly any arid location in the world.

In this latest ISIS propaganda video, quite a few anomalies associated with the production value of the film standout, as there were a number of planned multi-cam shots that would have involved a professional film team, costume designers, props and heavy post-production.

One of the most egregious elements of the staged ‘iconoclastic’ ISIS video, depicts giant-sized ISIS militants escorting their captives to their alleged end. This anomaly is a repeat of the same height discrepancy seen during February’s staged beheadings.

‘ISIS Giants?’ – This screen capture from the latest ISIS video, depicts unusually tall ISIS militants.

The ISIS execution reportedly took place in the Fazzan Province, and later as the desert scene evolves, ISIS members lineup to execute apparent Ethiopian captives at gun point. Although the terror group appears to have fired into the backs of those abducted, when you go frame by frame you see evidence of a heavily edited event. The scene is revealed to have depicted the ‘illusion’ of an execution by firing squad.

Another thing to consider in all of this, is that many of the gruesome images being paraded around by mainstream media, that are most likely used to generate ad revenue, show signs of manipulation, staging and victims whose faces appear almost serene while being executed - something which has been present in every ISIS ‘execution’ production thus far.

As of yet, Ethiopian authorities have been ‘unable’ to confirm if their citizens were killed by ISIS militants in Libya.

‘Pristine Terror’ – Notice the clean ISIS outfits and the nearly untouched guns on display in this most recent film production.

Problem, Reaction, Solution

The new ISIS video follows a winter season that saw several propaganda videos being pushed by the cloaked group and its social media distributors. The most recent film is the second mass execution said to have taken place in Libya at the hands of the now notorious terror group over the past couple of months.

Since last September, we’ve outlined that the ISIS ‘beheading’ videos were likely fakes, with many filmed against a green screen, including stage props, wardrobe design, voice overs and multi-cam videography. It turns out that at least two of the US major networks – CNN and FOX News finally admitted this in February, after backlash over a video allegedly depicting a torched Jordanian pilot Moaz al-Kasasbeh.

In late January we were told that a “Tripoli branch of ISIS” claimed responsibility after a suspicious shooting attack on the largely empty Corinthia Hotel in the area. The event was synchronized with a car bombing just outside the hotel, according to the SITE Intelligence Group. It seems more and more that this was likely a setup to transplant the ‘ISIS’ narrative inside Libya.

In a report from February at 21WIRE, prior to experts releasing their conclusion about that ISIS video production, I was able to outline many of the film’s irregularities and inconsistencies –proving that the film was indeed heavily orchestrated for maximum effect.

In late February our assessment of the staged ISIS videos was confirmed. According to Florida-based Terrorism Research and Analysis Consortium, the 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians purported to have been decapitated in the video entitled “Signed With Blood: To The Nation Of The Cross,” was ruled to have been ‘staged’ due to the excessive anomalies seen in the dramatic 5 minute film.

While the newest ISIS video appears to depict a shocking escalation of terror, it fails to provide comprehensive evidence of a violent event and therefore should be looked as nothing more than propaganda to gain public support for Western foreign policy objectives – namely the fraudulent proxy campaign in Syria.

Additionally, this latest ISIS event also serves to deflect from the controversial military intervention in Yemen. This is something we’ve been outlining here at 21WIRE over the past month, while most Western media outlets have neglected to discuss Washington’s new proxy.

Here’s another look at an RT news clip from September 2014, where well-known Geopolitical analyst William Engdahl, assesses the deception and alleged roots of ISIS…

Slaughter on the beach: ISIS behead and shoot more Ethiopian Christians in sickening new propaganda video

Lydia Willgress

The Daily Mail
A shocking new video appearing to show at least 30 Christians being beheaded and shot by ISIS in Libya has been released.
The 29-minute video, titled ‘Until It Came To Them – Clear Evidence’, shows dozens of militants holding two separate groups captive, thought to be in the south and the west of the country.
At least 16 men, described by Islamic State as the ‘followers of the cross from the enemy Ethiopian Church’, are lined up and shot in a desert area while 12 others are filmed being forced to walk down a beach before being beheaded.
This follows another video in February of the beheading of a group of 21 Coptic Christians on the beach in Libya, though that terrain was rockier than the one shown in the latest film.
It raises fears that ISIS is consolidating its presence on the ‘doorstep of Europe’, as Libya is just a few hundred miles from the coast of Italy.
Ethiopia was unable to confirm its citizens were killed in the footage but condemned the ‘atrocious act’, a government official said.
The video shows the men at the coast wearing Guantanamo-style orange jumpsuits and being held at the neck by fighters in combats with balaclavas covering their faces. The victims inland are forced to kneel as militants dressed in combats and green masks stand behind them holding rifles.
It starts with what it called a ‘history of Christian-Muslim relations’, which includes scenes of militants destroying churches, graves and icons.
A masked fighter in black then brandishes a pistol as he vows to kill Christians if they do not convert.

‘ISIS Staging’ – Notice the calm demeanor of those being held captive before their alleged execution.
Initial reports did not make clear who the captives were or when they were captured.
The video bore the official logo of the IS media arm Al-Furqan and resembled previous footage released by the extremist group.
Redwan Hussein, an Ethiopian government spokesman, said officials were in contact with its embassy in Cairo to verify the video’s authenticity.
