If you could be another nationality . . .

How is Native American a nationality? Why don't you just say "none due to lack of imagination"?

Anyway Canadian for obvious reasons. Barring that, probably Finnish.

Russian.

...or Bohemian. My grandmother had Bohemian ancestry and I think it sounds cool to be Bohemian, but I guess I would be called Czech now.

I hate nationalities, nations, nationalism, etc. But I'd probably go for Czech if I were to choose a specific country.

Japanese, American, maybe British and/or French...

I tend to agree;

Ultimately, I'd probably go for Japanese or Scandinavian; American these days is hemorrhaging from self inflicted cultural, educational, and economic (not to mention imperialistic) wounds. So yeah, someplace that is both forward looking and yet comfortable in its own collective skin.

Any of the Eastern European countries - especially Poland. There's something appealing about the cold weather, monochromatic tendencies in art, angular language, stoic culture...

Nationality doesn't matter but I wish I was born in another country, too many options to choose from.

All recognized Native American tribes are soverign nations and there are over 200 of them in the United States.

On topic - I would want to be one of the following:

As a note, I'd like to mention that I am aware that I would not notice an accent if I was from that country. I'm still putting them down though.

British - Accents and pubs and pub food. Chips with malt vinegar FTW.

Irish (or Scottish?) - BEER BEER BEER ALL DAY LONG!! Bliss and heaven! And I could live in a castle and build castles and eat potato pancakes all day long. Plus Irish girls have the most adorable accents in the world - either that or Scottish, I forget which... but they're both crazy ass adorable. Plus I love the leprechaun movies.

Indian (Feather, not dot) - I could drinkum firewater a whole lot more than I already do! Less desirable than Irish, but more spiritual and such. A definite plus. Plus, I've never slept in a teepee, so that would be cool too.

Speaking of accents, have you ever wondered what the normal "american" accent sounds like to foreigners? I always did, and then I saw this and went "Well that's interesting!"

Whenever I return from Africa, Americans always sound strange to me. They speak very fast and slur their words together, and the tone is more flat

Again, only certain tribes use teepees, not all. Second spiritual awareness and drinking do not mix and those that walk the spiritual path do not drink. Your reference to firewater is antiquated and akin to calling a black man a darkee. Alchohol has had a detrimental effect on many Native communities and the image of the drunken indian tends to be one of the more racially motived stereotypes against Natives given that all nationalities within the US drink.

Irish, Scottish or Welsh, love the accents.
