I am not sure of the accuracy of this, but it will be nice if there is a study documenting the personality combinations and their offspring's personality to see if there is a tendency for certain types to appear in certain families. Thank you for the replies; it's reassuring to know combinations between Traditionalists (SJ) and Experiences (SP) could have Idealists (NF) offspring and INFJ in particular.

I know the journal articles exist regarding MBTI in families, but I'm not sure if you can access the articles online. You might have to contact your local library. You might try accessing the Journal of Personality or the Journal for Psychological Type. It's sad they're not easily accessible, unless you have access to library materials online.
