Is political polarization kind of blighting your enjoyment of the forum?

Yeah?

I think the world is beggining to realize the Democrats are full of it. No substantiation to the claims they make and they only do so to be obstructionist. Sad this realization did not happen decades ago.
I really think its just generational, the boomers were severely degenerate and very self absorbed, millennials seem to be much much more conservative in the modern sense. If anything when you think about the actual meaning of the words, the Democrats are the conservatives now, they've been in charge culturally for nigh 50 years now, they're trying to conserve their ridiculous progressive ideology. Whereas old school right wing cuckservatives are literally about to die off, the New right, and the alt right, are now counter culture rebels that the young are flocking to, to stick it to their parents. Much like the loose degenerate days of Wiemar Germany led to the National socialists. Ping pong, ping pong...

Also, in answer to the OPs question, the fracturing and polarization causing conflict is actually heightening my enjoyment of the forum. I personally strive on chaos and conflict most of the time, and when things are too smooth I feel the need to destroy as stagnation feels like death to me. I need to be constantly stimulated.

Sociopath?

Not true, INFJs does need you.
I don't see any real polarization, @Skarekrow and @invisible and I slap @Eventhorizon horizon around a few times a week in between posting various left wing articles and positions pertaining to the current political landscape while @Eventhorizon occasionally points out how brilliant he is as he snarkily puts us down and posts contrary opinions and truthy articles. Sometimes @Billy blasts in with alex jones' latest take on things while @CindyLou and @Sriracha look the other way.

I must say the political threads are a welcome respite from @dang 's scary selfies and @Milktoast Bandit 's always profound nuggets of endless haphazard derailments.

You mean my hairy selfies?

This was a legendary level explanatory post.

I think that as people grow older and have had to live in the real world for an amount of time, they begin to realize that certain ideals don't and can't work where they used to think they could. In other words real life experience brings knowledge nd understanding where otherwise it would not exist.

Most people's low political involvement can be likened to a spectator in a theatre. Politicians (few exceptions) are a revolving door of names, faces, and slogans, all funded and made possible by corporate conglomerates and viewers like you.

Thank you.
