I seem to remember seeing a few videos of from liberal sources on my facebook detailing why we need the electoral college. The implication being that they are going to win through electoral votes. Im amused at how that turned out.

I suspect there are some non-INFJ types on this forum who have been laughed off the forum for their own type. Otherwise I can't explain their reasons for being here. They seem to have nowhere else to go. I keep them on "Ignore".

Having said that, there are non-INFJ members of this forum who have been here for a very long time and are part of the community. Some of them are very well loved by the community.

I think there is a general consensus that the presence of other types on the forum is enriching to the community by contributing more alternative perspectives.

I think that as INFJs we have to learn to work with or at least coexist with all different types in all sorts of circumstances. I think it's more productive in this respect that the forum should be like a learning zone for us rather than a retreat from the world.

Thank you for your perspective. I can understand that in some ways, but may have difficulty trusting such emotionally immature personalities as are invading this thread, otherwise I could just go back to regular social media where there is a mix of all types. I was hoping for and needing a sanctuary from all that to be honest so I guess I will take a long break from all forms of social media.

Just put them on ignore. It's a great feature. You can still engage in discussion with people who respond and share your interests more.

Anyone who actually hopes and thinks this could happen should think long and hard about it. If somehow it did, everyone's life in America would change in a way few have ever imagined.

A mixed bag of political goodies, without the annoying stuff from either side.

I've always been indifferent to both major US political parties until this cycle. The anti-establishment, devil may care incorrectness of Trump has tweeked my libertarian/western culturalism/non-interventionalist/pragmatist position. There are no political parties that I can happily vote for most of the time.

Anyone of any type is free to post here. I'm trying to even begin explaining why that is, but I'm a bit floored, because I shouldn't have to in the first place. I've said it before, but I'll say it again - anyone of any type can be a great human being, and anyone of any type can be an awful human being. It's ignorant and far too simplistic to think that someone has more of a right to be here just because of the letters MBTI has applied to them. People are more than their type. You are more than your type. We exist in a dynamic world full of widely differing human beings, and that is a beautiful thing. The thought of a place where only people similar to you are allowed, I find a bit abhorrent. That is static, boring, so terribly limiting and a deterrent to actually being able to grow as a human being. Perhaps that's because I actually enjoy diversity.

People are allowed to disagree with you. What's the point of a discussion if everyone's just agreeing with everyone and patting themselves on the back? That's not a discussion, that's an echo chamber. If you disagree with someone, then respectfully disagree with them, and explain why. Your words will have no power to change someone's mind and make a difference in the world, if you don't attempt to do otherwise. I mean no ill will by this, these are just my thoughts, and me respectfully disagreeing with you.

100% agree. It is the scrutiny and cross examination of our views and opinions that test their validity, either to reinforce or develop greater understanding. Anyone who does not allow their views to be (politely) challenged, only demonstrates their lack of belief in them imho. It's how we grow and learn.

Completely agree on the MBTI, their is no 'good' or 'bad' type. It was a mechanism to try to understand ourselves and others better, and adapt to our strengths and weaknesses. (puts pizza down and hides behind sofa in case of conflict lol).

When it comes to fighting wars though, I simply have absolutely no worry about the very real potential and possible escalated civil war on all Americans door step and having to fight socialists and communists. There won't be any "safe spaces" and nontrigger areas to retreat to for them. A war like this would be catastrophic to the liberal movement in America.
But I keep forgetting about liberals and their fantasy world. It continues to exist until it all comes crashing down around them.

Now... you may get the idea from this that I and others like me want war. I can assure you I don't. It's Its one of the reasons I am so adamant in trying to explain whats coming. I don't know why people want to destroy this country but I do know there is a majority... a silent majority that will stand up and defend it if and when it becomes time. They are called Americans. War is sickening and disgusting but sometimes necessary. Sometimes it's necessary to stand up and fight for what you believe in.

Dude, I hope you are semi joking ? you almost sound like you want that to happen ? I think anything like you suggest might happen, would be catastrophic for ALL of America. Liberals and conservative bleed the same color blood. In reality ? I think its a divisive and misleading construct, which is holding America back more than anything.

I think across the west generally, what i think I see as the major issue is that a great many hard working people feel isolated and that although they are in reality (quite) wealthy, they don't 'feel' that. They don't have enough time off work, social and community contact, or disposable income (not for more junk possessions but to share time together).

I think it's that social isolation and division, which is driving the 'wedge' between people who used to eat, work, meet and talk to each other much more. Globalisation (which has been a great thing for some of the poorest people on earth) has brought a speed of change and challenge for which the west was not remotely prepared.

Also since Breaking Bad ended.. we are all looking for the next TV show to replace it, and nothing has really lived up to that yet.. lol And now back to Sports.. lol
