Can anyone explain why mine are pretty much the same?
yeah, it's making me wonder or rethink some things . . . hmm
The reason you guys are getting such similar scores is simple. User error caused by test design.
This test is an axis test, pitting opposed cognitive functions against one another. There is no 'middle' response, which forces you to choose preference one way or the other. However, there are 3 degrees of preference for each function. It is very clear that you guys are choosing the same weight for a lot of your answers.
Make sure to choose a few all the way to one side or the other. Pick the top four or so questions and do this, even if you wouldn't normally. Then make sure that the rest of your answers are varied between the 1 and 2 points of preference.
This should make your results more clear.
Keep in mind though, that this test can be a very poor indicator of type if you have well developed functions. For example, My Fe and Ti are well developed, so I have trouble choosing between them, which leaves my scores in both rather moderate. However, my Fi is much better developed than my Te, which creates a much more clear preference. I like to use this test as a little bit of a springboard, nothing more.
In order for it to truly be accurate, it should vary the functions it polarizes to include shadow functions. For example, it should also pair Ti with Te, Fi with Fe, etc. Seeing as it doesn't, the only people who will get an accurate read from this test are those who have very typical cognitive function development. Many of us here are not.
