Milo Yiannopoulos at UC Berkeley

I think its reasonable to no longer have people speak at college's. Sure it's nice to see the person...in person but it's just not necessary. College's should not be expected to have to shell out huge dollars for security of anyone.

College's should not, but universities should.

And what is wrong with being violent anyway? Thats how this beautiful country was founded... by a rebellious sect of christo-polotical agitators.

Now see when I write christo-political, its just like the word judeo-christian which lends itself to me being mentally superior, aka right, for you idiots out there.

Because violence is the antithesis of reason.

Ok but you do understand that cost is simply charged to the students in the form of raising tuition costs?

Yes, that's a no duh moment. The students benefit so they pay... what's wrong w that?

He's a troll. But he's not really all hate speech. It's understandable why you might think that though.
He’s a self-admitted troll...who clearly doesn’t care how much shit he stirs up as it’s good exposure for him.
People should go and troll him back aka - protest him being there.
Why is that any different than the crap he feels entitled to (as a speaker of what exactly? wise remarks? sage advice? love and compassion? togetherness and acceptance?), yet the rest of the students who pay the tuition to the school aren’t entitled to be upset and protest what they view as a disruptive person coming to their campus?
Some probably feel their money is being misspent on hiring speakers who advertise being a dick as their main occupation.

Oh really? What noteworthy things has he said or done that do not include hate speech?

He regularly says and writes things that are sexist, racist, homophobic, etc. The articles I've read of his are venom. He says all this sort of stuff when he lectures at universities. What else does he do? How does he contribute positively to society in any way?

It seems pretty cut-and-dry to me. He profits off hate speech then cries about political correctness when anyone stands up to him or he gets blocked from a univeristy. It is all hate speech.

Ok this thread is getting away too emotional. And every time others get emotional, I get emotional too. So I'm out.
