Movies You are Looking Forward To

Aww!

She always epitomized that to me, too-a strong, capable, loving, and powerful woman who happened to be Black.

What's not to love? ;)

(Feels an X-Men convo coming on...)

Well she was, and still kinda is, which is why I find it EXTREMELY creepy to see her dating Black Panther or in Ultimate X-Men going with Wolverine. In X-Men the cartoon of the 90s is when I first saw her, and I admired her, she seemed like someone who didn't allow shit into her life but was at peace constantly (save for a few eps including morlocks) in X-Men Evolution she WAS a mother figure, unarguably, I envied spyke cause he got to call Storm "Auntie O". In Wolverine in the X-Men she doesn't do much, and it hints at her having a relationship with Warren (see avatar) in episode nineteen.

Seriously?? A relationship with Warren? Oy! Noooo! No. I don't like that at all.

I protested against her and BP as well, and I think that's changing. But to be honest? I could actually see her with Wolverine. I've had long, long convos about that with others, though, and I've written my share of fanfiction. ;)

Storm epitomizes the mother, but she's also a woman. I think that part of her became explored when she had the relationship with Forge. I loved 1980s Storm. They humanized her, and she became more than the Goddess mother. I think she deserves the happiness.

But no...I don't see her with Warren at all, any more than I see her with Panther. She needs someone who balances her, and they make her more "regal".

It hints at a relationship. That's the key word.

There's only one real reason for that pair, and I don't wanna go there.

Everyone does, I suppose, but didn't she turn bi, cut her hair into a Mohawk and go punk during the eighties? A time I'm glad I wasn't alive.

The story was more about Angel in that episode then Storm. Also the characterization on the show, if you hadn't noticed can be off.

She did cut off her hair and she went punk...but bi, mm, not really. At least not in the scene. She almost kissed Yukio, but it never happened. Otherwise she dated Forge through the 80s.

It's an interesting time, though - her leadership skills were defined at this time, and she also lead a team in Australia.

Wolverine Origins
Flight 666
Terminator 4
Transformers 2
Chemical Wedding

*perks up* did someone say chemicals?!

Haha, what is chemical weddings?

It's a movie about a university scholar who gets possessed by the spirit of Alister Crowley. It's written by Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson.

Cirque Du Freak

But the lead they picked was really bad.
John C. Reilly as Mr. Crepsly? C'mon...

"This Obi-Wan Kenobi spin-off is pretty emotional"

'Colette'.
I love movies about writers and artists and Colette had such an interesting life.

Some real good shit coming up.

I can't wait to see how Stephen Gammell's horrifying illustrations translate to film. I don't really think it's possible to get the effect reading the stories and carefully studying each illustration had as a kid... But it's worth it for the nostalgia too.
