Florence and the Machine - Drumming Song is pure power and heart

Don't let yourself go, cuz everybody cries
Everybody hurts... sometimes

Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
I hope you dance

That the hands of the sisters, Death and Night, incessantly wash again, and ever again, this soiled world.

The violin solo at the beginning will break your heart.

Orchestral piece. Achingly beautiful cello. This song often makes me cry.

I chose the above video because the sound is excellent. The dancing, however, leaves a lot to be desired. She is technically perfect, fluidity in motion, BUT there is absolutely NO PASSION in their performance. The next video has terrible sound because of the ongoing bozo commentary. However, you can tell this couple are so in love. This is not the boring guy showing off the girl--they are truly a magical couple. He was doing so many throws and lifts, I wondered if the climax was going to be a let down of the same old thing. But watch, he THROWS her and catches her. When I first watched this live, I literally fell on the ground, I was so overwhelmed... Absolutely unsurpassed.

Here they are in 2010. Talk about happily ever after.

Florence and the Machine is pure bliss. The lyrics on the whole Ceremonials album are so elegant and invocative. I've become abit of a fan...maybe you can tell... :D

simon and garfunkel. i know most of their songs. i have been listening to them since i was about six yrs old. i first heard them when crossing the nullarbor desert with my family - 40 degree celsius, staring out the car window. my dad playing them the entire trip.

Any and everything Alter Bridge.
I think I've listened to Myles either CS, MF4, and with Mark Alter Bridge for at least 10 straight years. Kick myself for not finding CS, MF4 before that. I've been a fan if a lot if music over the years, but this is what defines me.

I've practically had this on repeat all week...

I looked for this specifically the other day. Good nostalgia.

Music hits me pretty hard sometimes, especially live female singers and instrumentals. It's the only thing that stirs shit up.

I have no particular songs to mention here. It is really hard to choose just a few favourites from a vast music collection! Songs that speak to me come and go over the years...

I am very drawn towards shoegaze - dreamy vocals, fuzzy guitars, reverb soaked melodies. I love it as the sounds do well to convey the most profound emotions, without having to rely on pure voice alone - vocals are often hidden underneath layers of distortion in the mix. This only makes it all the more appealing. The voice is not the centre of the music but an instrument in itself.

I would love to hear if there are other INFJ's into this type of music? I must apologise for fitting the music I listen to under a specific genre. I would like it if I did not have to do this but it is the only way I can express my taste in a way that will be understood by others. Although hopeful, I imagine this taste in music is just as uncommon as the INFJ!
