I sort of like some of his films (I don't really think he's a great filmmaker, but they're mostly enjoyable), but Lars Von Trier is such a pretentious douche. I agree his films would fit that type, though.
It was shot in Ontario but the setting is British Columbia. It reminds me of the origin of my ancestors and tribe.
The critters all have their roll in this world. As a boy we would play with them, but there are some things that aren't allowed to play. A Trickster has many names and is one of those things.
It is mostly natural world young people living in a chaos created by their parents. There's a supernatural component and it focuses on a young man attempting to find his own person as he finishes high school. I think NF's struggle in some of the ways he experiences and he appears to deal with many of these struggles like an INFx. It was relatable.
