Opinions of Ayn Rand's Philosophy

Frankly, Ayn Rand said a lot, too much if you ask me. There are times when one should prioritize oneself and times when one should prioritize others.

She took Aristotle's Law of Identity and used it to snort a metric ton of cocaine.

Didn't she come up with some tortored definition of love? Ahh.

"To love is to value. Only a rationally selfish man, a man of self-esteem, is capable of love — because he is the only man capable of holding firm, consistent, uncompromising, unbetrayed values."

True overall, but she tossed in 1."rationally selfish man" before 2. "man of self-esteem" as though 2. can't exist without 1. She goes on: "— because he is the only man capable of holding firm, consistent, uncompromising, unbetrayed values." Okay. That's just her opinion. That's it.

Going on "— because he is the only man capable of holding firm, consistent, uncompromising, unbetrayed values."

These qualities can exist without love. But in order for true love to exist, these qualities must be present.

She's crafty, even deceitful.

Her books are so obscenely long because she wants to get the reader to think on her distorted terms.

My opinion on Ayn Rand's philosophy is that her entire catalogue can be summed up in a 4 minutes and 38 seconds of Friends with nothing of value being lost and being 100x more entertaining (which still only amounts to mildly amusing.)
